I had booked this place because we were going to do an activity in the area, it was canceled on that day but I kept this booking even though it can be a little difficult to get to (I would recommend taking a taxi from the train station, bus service is highly irregular).It seemed like it would be a good experience (staying at a Traditional Japanese house in the country). I was right. Kenji is an excellent and helpful host. Our room was one of the most beautiful we stayed in, lots of detail: carvings , kami dana, beams etc. The beds=futons were warm and comfortable. It was quiet and you could see stars at night. You are near the river and can see/ cross one of the famous bridges. This is rural Japan and I loved it.

The host is very kind to wait for us to introduce us the facility and even come back to apply futon for us. The host is very kind and nice I ever meet in Japan. My family has very comfortable stay at his house. I would recommend this 100%. Thanks.

The actual house seems to be so better and witty visiting.

River, Mountain Retreat at 四万十Accommodation is situated in Mihara Village. The property features mountain and garden views. Rosie is one of the best parts of this accommodation. Not only her friendliness welcomed us well at the beginning, but also the talk and recommendations about planning the trip. The mosquito net is another thing that we really like.

Oyamanoyado Michitsuji je 100 let starý domov v tradičním japonském stylu ve městě Otoyocho. Na místě je soukromé neplacené parkoviště. Daisuke and Yumiko were wonderful hosts and the inn is a beautiful traditional Japanese house surrounded by incredible scenery. Yumiko's cooking is amazing, and she used a lot of locally sourced ingredients and taught us about them. We had a fantastic time here and wished we could have stayed longer.
