Quinta Vale Vitis í São Vicente býður upp á fjallaútsýni, gistirými, sundlaug með útsýni, líkamsræktarstöð, garð, verönd og bar. Gufubað og bílaleiguþjónusta er í boði fyrir gesti. We are so sad to have only 3 nights there and are now missing this place. We had a check-in later than 20:00, the staff shared the check-in information with us and we parked our car, found our room easily. However, we should have turned the air conditioner on (30C) to warm the space :) (it was fresh for us) The room was nice and new, the mattress was comfortable as well. Breakfast was very good 👍🏻 Especially we loved the bread and the butter!! The staff was very friendly and even the owner treated us with kindness and 2 lemonade one evening! :) Good man! Last day we left the hotel earlier in the morning and the lovely staff prepared breakfast for us in the evening before. Be ready to start eating the breakfast from the evening :) Mmm 😋 This place we would like to return. Really had a great time and great happy birthday 🥳

Granny's house view er gististaður í Funchal, 3,3 km frá Marina do Funchal og 14 km frá Girao-höfða. Þaðan er útsýni yfir garðinn. Decent location (although 15 minutes from the centre; good for hikes), quite large place with a nice view.

Quinta São Lourenço er sumarhús sem er vel staðsett fyrir afslappandi frí í Fajã da Ovelha og er umkringt útsýni yfir garðinn. Gististaðurinn er með sundlaug með útsýni, garð og bílastæði á staðnum. Fantastic location in a tranquil setting. Philippe was an excellent host - met us on arrival and took us on a tour of the whole property which comprises of stand-alone houses and a lovely swimming pool. He gave us lots of tips about hiking in the area and let us enjoy our surroundings in our private home from home. Our daughter loved playing with the two cats who often came to say hi, swimming in the pool at sunset and eating at the nearby restaurant with the best views you could ask for (over Paul Do Mar). The actual accommodation is very comfortable, spacious, quiet, great temperature (we visited in Autumn and were not cold), easy to find with Phillipe's directions and has the best view of a sunset we had ever experienced! The kitchen is huge and there is plenty of space to sit outside on the veranda to enjoy a al fresco dinner for example. Beds are comfortable, everything spotless and in working order . We stayed in the two bedroom house which in reality is two connected houses with two ensuite bathrooms - wish we had invited more people with us to enjoy this fabulous place! We will definitely try to come back one day and bring our family or friends along too. Thank you again Phillipe for your hospitality. Just for information: Public transport on Madeira is really hit and miss - you really do need a car for this location (as is suggested), but in case you don't travel by car (we didn't) there are taxis available in the area. The number 80 Rodoeste bus from Funchal to Santa Moniz travels through Faja da Ovelha a few times a day - you can find the information on their website. It stops at Calheta beach on the way, so we spent the day there (before checking in, in the afternoon) and took a taxi from there to Faja da Ovelha. We also took a taxi to the airport early in the morning - we had prebooked it with the taxi driver who took us from Calheta.

Casa da Avó Duca státar af útsýni yfir kyrrláta götu og býður upp á gistirými með verönd, í um 600 metra fjarlægð frá Banda d'Alem-ströndinni. The house is located in a small back alley with lots of friendly neighbours and a lively welcoming atmosphere. The house itself is just beautiful and there's absolutely nothing missing, there's so much love in every detail and you can really feel like home. We spent our Christmas there and were overwhelmed by all the small treats (fruits, fantastic homemade cookies and lots more) and decoration. The sleeping room has an electric heater in case it gets really cold, the kitchen is fully (like home) equipped and you can even do your laundry. There's public free parking very close by and you can easily walk everywhere in Machico (shopping, cafes, restaurants). We enjoyed sitting in the backyard which is very calm and full of life at the same time. Whenever we met Luisa, she was up for a chat and took so much care of us - she is a star! We would definitely choose again and can recommend to everyone who likes staying in a lively neighbourhood (quiet at night) in a traditional house.

Sonho do Oceano er staðsett í Ribeira Brava og er með einkasundlaug og sjávarútsýni. Gististaðurinn státar af lyftu og sólarverönd. It was a wonderful room, wonderful hostess, clean, comfortable and a great view. Breakfast was great too. Very welcoming.

Catavento er gististaður í Porto Santo, 100 metra frá Porto Santo-ströndinni og 3,6 km frá Quinta das Palmeiras. Þaðan er útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn. Everything. Beautiful garden, nice studio. Clean and well equipped!

Casas do Baleeiro - Whaler's Houses er staðsett í Caniçal, 600 metra frá Ribeira do Natal-ströndinni og 22 km frá hefðbundnu húsum Santana. Boðið er upp á verönd og fjallaútsýni. Very spacious apartment with a lovely patio. Everything was clean, you could cook, huge bathroom. Excellent location near the sea, and bus stops to take you anywhere you want. Host was very kind to leave recommendations which we followed and weren't disappointed, especially the restaurants. People all around were very welcoming, prices cheap for the value. Really recommend!

Relax View er staðsett í Funchal og býður upp á þaksundlaug og fjallaútsýni. Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að svölum, sundlaug við biljarðborð, ókeypis einkabílastæði og ókeypis WiFi. Great spot tucked in the hills with broad expansive views. The common pool/hot tub areas were a nice treat after traveling.
