Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. Ailwee Cave, also featuring an underground river and a waterfall, is only 3km from the property. Our hosts, Wolfgang and Maria were delightful and so helpful. We felt at home in our cosy Burren suite and also in the common areas. Breakfasts were amazing. Our 9 night stay would have to be the best ever for me.

In the mornings, Rossmanagher House serves breakfast in the magnificent period dining room. The property also offers a drawing room with an adjoining billiards room. The house is decorated in a french style, all the furniture and wall paper remind me of rooms at the Louvre. They're spacious as well. Our breakfast was delicious and the hostess Lorraine was so nice and a perfect Irish mom. We had a great time and want to go back

The nearest airport is Shannon Airport, 36 km from the property. Anita at Bealkelly Country House is a wonderful host. We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. The house is beautiful and is in a picturesque location. We stayed in the Derg and Shannon Suites and had the house to ourselves. Everything was spotless and comfortable. We had delicious scones and tea on arrival and enjoyed drinks in the bar in the evenings. We didn't have breakfast only because we don't eat early. Anita does catering, and judging by her scones, I can imagine the breakfast would be lovely.

At the country house, each unit is fitted with a desk. The country house features some units with inner courtyard views, and every unit comes with a kettle. All units have a private bathroom, a hair dryer and bed linen. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable host. Offered to drive us to our destination free of charge. My girlfriend loved interacting with the horses.

Doolin village is just 10 minutes' walk away. Wonderful weeding greetings with prosecco, chocolate and strawberries. Outmost hospitality...what else?! :)
