Wayne is the most warm and welcoming home stay host.
He and his two gentle border collies welcomed us and our kelpie into their beautiful home which sits near to but well above the beautiful beaches and main street of Penguin offering magnificent views of the vast Bass Strait.
The people of Penguin are very friendly, the community run Op Shop full of fashions and treasures, bakery offering a huge range of delicious treats and free bikkies for visiting dogs, the fabulous Seasons by the Sea restaurant sitting right on the beach and run by delightful mother and daughters offering excellent local wines and creative food to die for!
Clean accessible golden beaches with dog friendly leash free options, clean public toilets and lawns and play areas for children.
The Neptune Hotel bistro on the seafront offers restaurant quality food served by the most welcoming friendly staff.

Penguin is a beautiful sea side town with lots of charm from the park to the beach with several interesting eateries to explore. Also a few interesting shops.
The nearby town of Ulverstone while larger than Penguin is only 10 minutes away by car and has its own charms to explore.
The mountains behind Penguin looked interesting and our host, Wayne had many suggestions for interesting places to explore.
I cannot rave enough about how wonderful the included breakfast was. Our host made delicious scrambled eggs, fried mushroom, tomatoes and toast. This easily kept us going all day with only a light lunch.

Growing up in Tassie an Island, its nice to stay by the Sea when you need to relax and switch off. I visited the Tulip Festival at Table Cape near Wynyard, I also went to the Penguin Markets on Sunday and walked along the beach in perfect October Spring weather.

Penguin is a beautiful friendly seaside town, that punches well above it's weight in quality restaurants and shops! El Perro Tapas Restaurant& Bar & The letterbox cafe are stand out options!
The location was beautiful. Wayne’s home has sweeping views out over Bass Strait and the Penguin township.
He was a perfect host, being very friendly and was extremely knowledgeable about Penguin and Tasmania.
Wayne cooked delicious breakfasts for me and went out of his way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and that I was happy and I did not go hungry.
I would recommend Wayne’s home stay to anyone wanting to stay in a home away from home in delightful Penguin.
He has 2 friendly border collies that are also very well behaved.
Loved everything about Penguin and the beach house was perfect. It was so comfortable and the views spectacular. Everything was catered for and being that I am so fussy with bed comfort and cleanliness, this house excelled. Mum and I had a wonderful time and weather was clear warm and sunny so the sunrise walk in the morning along the beach path to town for coffee was amazing. Thanks so much for the relaxing getaway. We are seriously thinking of packing up and moving to Penguin from Hobart 😁 Thanks again, Tracy and Lorna.
We were amazed by the stunning view. The interior decoration made us feel like immersing in a music world. The kitchen was fully equipped. We were provided ingredients for a full breakfast which was not advertised. We had the privilege to enjoy the whole house with five bedrooms which could accommodate 13 people, though we were only two couples. The owner only rents to one party no matter how many people the group has. Highly recommended if you’re going to Cradle Mountain or penguin viewing at Lilico Beach.
Great location, very large room with lots of beds, perfect for a family. Easy under cover parking. Right on the main street of beautiful Penguin with IGA shopping and restaurants all within a stroll. The garden view room is at the back of the building therefore their is not a view of the water however there is a deck off the back that is in full sun in the afternoon, perfect for a wine. Large double downstairs and 4+ single beds upstairs. Big kitchen and large TV - however not a smart Tv.
This was the last Airbnb on our trip around Tasmania and it was the best AirBnB.
Our host welcomed us and said goodbye to us as we left. I would highly recommend this lovely house.
Even though it wasn’t the right time of year to see penguins, our host told us where to spot them and we did, much to our excitement.
A lovely house to stay in; we only stayed one night but it would be great to stay here for longer and use it as a base to see the north coast.
I thoroughly recommend it.
The location of this property is fantastic. Our children absolutely loved the animals and we enjoyed our morning coffee with magnificent sunrises over the bay. Hugh and Liz were fantastic hosts and had great recommendations of things to do around the area suited to our family. Next time we travel to Tasmania we will be returning to Penguin Seaside Farm.
Thanks Hugh and Liz!
Homey little place to stay with wonderful hosts and great views! The added puppy love was a delightful bonus! Wayne and Sue are great and welcoming host and serve a delicious breakfast! Slept like a baby and felt very welcomed in their home! Thanks again Wayne and Sue! It was a pleasure to 😊 Fantastic view from the room. Watched sunrise from my bed!
Nice spacious room, clean and comfortable with a nice view. Ting, the owner very friendly and helpful, even insisted on carrying our suitcases up the stairs, and back down when we left. Continental breakfast was delivered to our room at agreed time, some tasty fresh pastries included.
the apartment located at a wonderful place that you may see the moonrise from the living room. and the super markets are near by, in front of us are white sand little playground. the apartment itself is well designed, clean and provides bug tub. really really in love with here!
Our Hosts, Fran & Terry welcomed us on our arrival to their beautifully appointed house across the road from the beach. If I could give 6 stars I would as all of our needs were fulfilled.
The evening port was certainly appreciated. Look forward to a return visit.
The apartment was very spacious, very clean through out and modern. The Beds in particular were extremely comfortable.
It’s position near the sea was ideal.
The free wifi and streaming channels was a big plus.
Over all it would rate 5 stars from me and my wife.
Central location in Penguin with parking right outside the door. The best thing is you can walk everywhere in town. The accommodation was pretty good and we quickly made ourselves at home here. The beach is across the road so not hard to see the sites.
Comfy and quiet. Relaxing spot with everything I needed for a quick trip for work. Kitchen well equipped, gas stove, pots etc to eat in. Great outlook in green gully. 2 mins from Penguin Centre.
Location was great, as we had not long arrived in Penguin. Finding accommodation was pretty hard, as a lot of places were full and we came across your site. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Exc
The view is amazing and the owner was so kind. We really enjoyed everything about it. Penguin is a very nice little town. Enjoyed the fresh eggs and meeting the farm animals.
The location is good for us since it's so near to the sunflower farm we wanna go to. The natural view is great with a lot of animals. Very peaceful farm vibe.
Loved everything about this cottage. Clean and roomy, quiet and in a great location. Steve was friendly and helpful with places we could visit around Penguin.
