View from windows onto the Holy Isle amazing. My inlaws loved the flat as there to celebrate a special birthday. Nice Central location. We were fortunate to visit during the lovely weather.
Butt Lodge is a family run Guest House set in Lochranza. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Lochranza ferry terminal is 2 km away and Brodick ferry terminal is 23 km away.
Arran as a whole was delightful. There was more than enough visitor facilities and dining options while retaining a sense of community about the place.
We saw seals sunning themselves on the rocks at the shoreline and even a stag casually eating near the roadway at Lochranza.
The car ferries on and off the island were very efficient but do remember to pre-buy tickets online.

Beautiful isle with very friendly local people.
Beautiful isle with very friendly local people. We visited in January which is considered an off-season, so some bars and attractions were temporarily closed. However, we were lucky with the weather and enjoyed many peaceful walks nearby with breath-taking scenes!
Welcoming , comfortable, clean accommodation.Location near amenities and town centre.Great food.Very beautiful scenery and wildlife.Quiet and peaceful but plenty to do if you want it.So many beaches that one is more beautiful than another.Arran definitely is Scotland in miniature and The Old Dairy is a wee hidden gem and has a charm of it's own

We've stayed in Brodick a few times and love the proximity of everything - beaches, woodland walks, Brodick Castle, restaurants, bars, Arran Cheese, the Brewery, Arran Botanicals, the Heritage Museum, Arran Aromatics, Wooleys Bakery, just to name a few.
For food the Douglas Hotel, Ormidale and Auchrannie are good as is the Brodick bar.
The Fisherman's walk is a gentle walk along the front and the beautiful beach with shallow water. Great for families.
Pretty much everything is within walking distance.

Brodick is the main commercial and transportation centre for the Isle of Arran. It is a small place with very limited basic services, and nothing much to see or do in itself apart from the Castle and the Arran Heritage Museum.
The shops were disappointing and there were only two decent restaurants in the central part of the town (I gather the Auchrannie Resort and Spa was good too but did not have a chance to go there as it is rather out of the way if you don't have a car). The best restaurant by far was the Brodick Brasserie - fine dining on Arran!
The best thing about the town is its setting on a wide bay with mountains to the north.

Brodick is no more than a charming seaside village but has a promenade and some entertainments such as crazy golf. Brodick Castle and the Arran Heritage Museum are definite must visit attractions.
The 323 bus to Whiting Bay and the south end of the island is recommended. Blackwaterfoot is also worth a bus ride. Motorists should be wary of the western side of the island where the only roads do not have "A" designation.
I chose this hotel because it was CAMRA recommended and the beer certainly didn’t disappoint, with 2 of the local Arran brewery beers. The gantry was fully stocked with whiskies from all over Scotland, including local ones. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding- the homemade granola is superb. I had three different choices of main and all were excellent. The bar is really busy in the evening and the pop quiz and bingo are great fun, led by Trevor with great humour. The welcome and service from all the staff was also great.
Accessible, central location close to port; cosy bedrooms; spacious, fully equppied kitchen, comfy living room.
Great location for walking to nearby amenities incl. cafes, shops, beach etc.
Great base for exploring everything Arran has to offer incl. hiking, swimming, sightseeing etc.
When our return ferry to Ardrossan was cancelled due to staff shortages and adverse weather, Ian was very understanding and supportive and really helped us out.
I grew up on Arran and it was lovely to see this old hotel still in use. Some areas were a bit dated but our rooms were great and the use of a fan was very welcome as the weather was great.Great views out to Goatfell , and central to eveything in the village.Jim who looks after 'the shorehouse' was very helpful and we would definately stay there again.
Beautiful views of the water and Goatfell and Brodick Castle (though the latter is covered in scaffolding currently). Walking distance to most Brodick activities/shopping and the ferry. The Coop grocery store is close and has a nice selection of food and drink. We enjoyed played fetch with a resident Collie.
Brilliant wee place to stop when you're in Brodick. Was my first time on Arran and the Belvedere was really easy to find and close to everything. Covid measures were spot on, everything super clean and the bed was really cosy. Even a nice wee breakfast included, really impressed and I hope to be back soon!
Excellent location in central Brodick. Car parked on main road as no driveway at apartment but no problem parking. Apartment decor was a little dated but the cost was a fraction of the cost for hotels nearby (although they were 4*). If you are just looking for a base to tour Arran then it’s ideal.
Great location—very close to the ferry and the main shops in Brodick but a bit removed from it all. Felt very safe. Breakfast was pretty good and had various choices. Overall my room was pretty quiet. WiFi worked great. Significantly less expensive than a lot of other options on Arran.
The staff were fantastic. They were more than happy to help with questions about the resort and things to do in Arran. We really enjoyed the Executive plus perks (hot tub & lounge area with free soft drinks/snaks). We also love how dog friendly Auchrannie Resort is.
Room and view AMAZING - the room upgrade was worth every penny.
Lovely breakfast and very very very helpful staff - I left my pillow and the lovely receptionist ran to the ferry terminal to ensure it was returned.
Arran was the highlight of our Scotland trip.
The hotel was gorgeous, staff all friendly and welcoming. The rooms were to a high standard with everything you could need. Location was right next to the ferry terminal so very handy. We had a car so it was a good base to travel round Arran
Our room had a fantastic view on the bay, we spend a lot of time just sitting by the window enjoying the view. The room was spacious, with an en suite bathroom as big as our entire hotel room in London. Great service from the friendly staff.
Mitch was a friendly host who made recommendations that helped us make the most of our stay on Arran. The guesthouse is in the ideal location to access all the island has to offer, and has great views. Would recommend!
The owner Ross was very friend and very informative about the island.the decor was nice and the little touches were good such as home baked cake every afternoon &delicious breakfasts,Arran aromatics shower gel etc
The location of the hotel is great and its grounds are lovely.
The Cruize restaurant was good and very convenient.
The room was a good size and the beds are comfortable.
The hotel was very nice and clean with an amazing breakfast and very friendly staff. Much better than in pictures. Great location and the pub is very fun too.
