We were walking the Cotswold Way and the Compass Inn was on the Route. The staff were brilliant so friendly and accommodating and the breakfast and evening meals had a great choice and were lovely, all served in beautiful spaces. We had upgraded our room to an executive one and we did have a large room with two beds joined together, one side was very comfortable, the other not so. The room like the hotel was a little run down and dated, but for what we wanted was ok.

Location was excellent, next to the ricer and ten minutes away from the canal path walk into Bath. Arrival at rush hour when the tailback from the active toll bridge adjacent to the hotel can be a bit daunting and led to a questioning of the GPS but once you know it is ok. The breakfast was very good.
