Great value for money and a very friendly host. The apartment is very big, though we didn't use much. WiFi is also provided and the balconies are nice. Neighbours are friendly and quiet. The AC unit works very well. Having a fridge is useful too. If you simply need a place to stay for the night, this works.

Nice place, very good to eat.
Nice place, very good to eat. But Malta in general is nearly full with buildings. So a lot of people, a lot of traffic.
Maltese people in general are quite secluded, even though everybody speaks English quite well. If you strike up a conversation with somebody in the street, you can be sure it's a foreign traveler too.

I also spent time in Valletta, Sliema and Gozo. I'm so glad I ended the trip in Marsaskala. It's a lot quieter and more comfortable the other places I stayed. It was the perfect way to wind down and enjoy the harbor, the people and the ambiance of Malta before leaving. And it's also closer to the airport!

We had a week in St Pauls Bay so our 2nd week at Marsaskala was most welcome. A quiet coastal village/small town and off of the main tourist route. Having said that, Valletta is only 20 minutes away and easily reached by bus for 2euros or a Bolt Taxi for about 12 euros. Bolt is superb service and cheaper than white taxis & Uber. We used them quite a bit in our 2 weeks when some buses were full.
Marsaxlokk 10 minutes away is well worth a visit, go on Sunday if you want heaving crowds around the market or any other day if you want to enjoy the fishing village with sme 70 fishing boats in the bay, a few market stalls and a very relaxed feel.
If you do visit on Sunday, avoid the stall selling 'Maltese' small biscuits & cakes right opposite the village square/Costa Coffee. There are lots of online warnings about him, items are unpriced but when you come to pay you will be ripped off eg. 5 euro for a 2" almond cake. He won't give you a refund if you complain.
In Marsaskala, 'Cool Waters' bar has excellent food and very reasonably priced.
Orient Market 3 is a big well stocked supermarket with good prices.

We liked St Thomas Bay - wonderful for swimming (there is a small sandy beach and several rocky spots) and for starting your walks (we walked to the village of Marsaxlokk, through very beautiful labdscapes).
We found some nice restaurants with very tasty food.
The town itself did not look particularly interesting to us, but we only covered a small neighbourhood, so wouldn't know about the rest.

Marsaskala is a busy harbour area for locals.
Marsaskala is a busy harbour area for locals. Some boats but not a lot going in and out. It is not close to a sandy beach. There are a few small supermarkets and several restaurants with different price ranges to choose from. The problem is if you wish to travel by car then it is in part of the urban Valetta area and there are very busy roads to navigate to get in and out.
First of all the location of the TJ boutique hotel was in the center of Marsascala so that was great. The place was very clean and tidy the whole time we stayed. The staff was incredible, always ready to help us to get the most out of our trip. They helped with the buses, sightseeings and everything we had in mind to ask. At the end they also organized a taxi ride to the airport. We want to thank the staff of TJ boutique, you were marvelous and we will reminisce you with great warmth. Thank you!
The hotel owner was very friendly and engaged, he provided us with a lot of information, tips and gave insight into the local culture. We could really feel that hotel focuses on providing the best experience for our stay. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. There was almost everything we could need and there was paid a lot of attention even to small details. Good location, close to the bus stop, shops and the coast. Thank you for making our stay delightful! :)
The main hotel was probably fully booked, so we got an upgrade/switch to an apartment located just across the street with the possibility of using all the hotel amenities including pool and bar. Apartment was spacious, with a balcony, very clean - nothing to complain about. There is no separate parking provided by the hotel, but parking spaces were easily found in the hotel vicinity. Walking distance to restaurants and Marsascala promenade. Good breakfast.
The property was neat and clean. We found it comfortable and were able to relax. We had travelled with friends and everyone enjoyed the stay. The kids loved the pool and the beachside view.
Rosanne was helpful as she helped us with the taxi booking to and from hotel and also helped us leave our luggage whilst we went out for a few hours on the last day which was really helpful.
The suite is beautiful!!! The view is exactly like the picture shown (keep in mind only the suites have this view, the other rooms don’t have the balcony and view). But the place is very clean, the staff is wonderful, allowed us to sit in the lobby and have bfast before it was time to checkin. I highly recommend this property to everyone staying in Marsaskala. Worth every penny
The room was big, nice and clean. You have continental breakfast included.
The location is great right next to the sea and you can even get a room with a balcony directly above the sea. Walking distance to bars and restaurants.
If the price is right when back in Malta I would definitely consider this hotel again.
The owner/staff was helpful, very friendly, kind... The location is amazing, with local café and promenad of Marsaskala we went during night and morning to enjoy local food. There was bus stop close by. We took bus 91/93 to Valletta with good price. This way we experienced friendly locals, food with good price etc.
Great location. There is a shop at the top of the road and the beach is 2 minutes away, with lovely swimming spots. Easy walk into the main part of Marsaskala where most of the restaurants are. Spacious, clean flat. Friendly owners who responded quickly and helpfully when we needed something.
View from the apartment is amazing!!! Terase is greatest! Host was always available, even checking on us if everything is OK 👍
People on Malta are extremely nice and nice hosts, everywhere: shops, restaurants, on the streets..
This is nice hotel with a good location at a quiet place out of the city center but not far. Delicious breakfast is served at the restaurant which is part of the hotel, you have to pay for it but it is worth that.
Location and views excellent. Plenty of parking outside property, nice bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Also , located slightly away from hectic central malta but within easy reach.
Host extremely helpful.
Everything was perfect in this bright, new, spacious apartment! And it's located near the bay and some excellent restaurants, too. What's not to like? We would definitely stay there the next time we go to Malta!
Friendly people at desk! We’ve got a small Christmas gift.
Parking is possible around but can be tricky and takes time. Underground parking provided hotel helps.
It was an exelent experience. Maria is so kind and she is always open to support you. Defenitely i will choose the same place for my next vacantion in Malta.
