It is a lovely place. Even outside was so relaxing and beautiful. One of the best I have ever seen. And, non-smoking. What a breath of fresh air. We combined Biltmore with this casino. Great idea.

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in a quiet town,...
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in a quiet town, Cherokee is the place for you. There is minimum to do there, but it is nice if youre looking for a relaxing weekend.
Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, TN are about an hour or so away and the drive is about 30-40 minutes (depending on traffic and weather) of scenic views - with pull offs for you to take pictures or take a break if needed.
Cherokee does have the Harrah's Casino and really thats the only thing going on up there. We did eat at 2 places in Cherokee - Grannys Kitchen (buffet) & Osaka Sushi Bar & Asian Cuisine.
Grannys Kitchen was packed when we rode by and had excellent reviews online. So we knew it was going to be good - but we were wrong. Its a "buffet" with only 1 line of food...thats it. The food was bland and the collards tasted like they were cut, put into a pot of just water with an onion and thats it. The cornbread, I could lay foundation with how hard it was and everything else was just mediocre. The server we had was nice, but for 2 people at the buffet with one drink (Sprite) was $40 and some change.
Osaka was decent, but I have had better. The server we had was nice and attentive, but the food just wasnt hitting on anything.
Personally, you would just be better off going the extra miles to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg to have a better time and better food.

We chose this property as the property description stated...
We chose this property as the property description stated that it was .3 miles from the Cherokee Casino, which would have been walkable to the concert that we were attending. It turned out to be WAY longer than .3 miles and we needed to drive instead. This really impacted our plans and the actual proximity to the casino is VERY misleading. Being older means that we are not as able-bodied as we used to be and the main reason we chose this hotel was the proximity to the casino, thinking that we would be able to enjoy a few cocktails while on vacation and be able to walk back to our hotel room. Very deceptive property description!

Great hotel and the employee’s were friendly and helpful.
Great hotel and the employee’s were friendly and helpful. The only negative was the bonus spins on slot machines they did not pay. I realize that winning isn’t easy they wouldn’t be in business if everyone won. But getting 12 or 15 free spins and it pays less than you bet isn’t fun.

This is very much tourist town, everywhere trying to sell cheap souvenirs and the like. The casino dominates the town, (Not worth a visit in my view, see separate review). The town was a convenient place to stop located near both the Blueridge Parkway and Great Smokey Mountains.
We found a decent, basic hotel to be the MicroTel and there was a Japanese restaurant a few doors down which had good food at fair prices.
If traveling again, I’d try not to stay in Cherokee, hopefully finding something away from the tat.

Everything about the hotel and casino or excellent.
Everything about the hotel and casino or excellent. I’ve stayed at several casinos before and resorts found Cherokee resort to be the nicest of all hotel and casino or beautifully laid out in the in an extremely beautiful location felt we could move around safely with no concerns once again, stay was excellent.
The staff at this hotel was attentive, clear, helpful, kind, and worked well together. From picking up small pieces of paper on the floor, to getting to know their customers and having welcoming conversations, the spirit and attitude from the staff is unsurpassed. The rooms were clean and ice cold. You can walk to the casino, or take a shuddle and you are close to downtown Cherokee Nation and the Great Smokey Mountians. Great location! The hotel is simple, no frills, but the team makes it a place to return to.
The heated swim pool is large and heated very well (not cold upon entering the water when it is 34 F outside). The hot tub is properly hot but not too hot. By most importantly, the water is very clean. Don’t listen to others who complains about the decorations. The pool area has no fancy new tiles, but the water is very clean! Moreover, the hotel has not many guests even if this is Oct peak foliage season for the great Smokey. My husband and I had the entire pool and the hot tub to ourselves! What a treat!
Polo was supper nice very helpful he made us feel safe an went out of his way to make our stay great the matance man did amazing by replacing our fridge everything was clean neat nice beds supper comfortable breakfast was great we will definitely be back again I think polo an the matance man deserves a raise you want your customers happy an want them to come back again so I think they should give these 2 a raise cause they went out of there way to make us happy it's a great choice of hotel
This will be our hotel of choice while staying in Cherokee. Great staff. Clean and pretty. Although I wasn't blown away by the linens, the actual mattress was THE MOST COMFORTABLE bed I have stayed on. There are no issues other than needing our key remade because it didn't work at first. Easy fix. It is a small hotel that really exceeded expectations. It's a really great value.
We got move the second day to a room where the heat was working well. We will stay there again as it's the best bang for the buck in Cherokee. An older hotel but for the most part well kept. We have stayed there a few other times with no problems. Just don't expect the Ritz.
My sister and I went there for an overnight stay for her birthday. We were right across from the casino, the hotel was good, staff and all. The breakfast wasn't all that great, but we overlooked that part because all else was okay.
This little motel sits right in the heart of Cherokee just outside of the Smoky Mountains national Park. It has a nice pool. The rooms are nice. The views in the location are perfect. The staff very nice and accommodating.
It was clean, neat, well worth the price because most other hotels are more expensive and great quality. Free breakfast. Food & stores near by. Also other cities close by as well for more exploring and fun activities.
The hotel is away from the casino which was my preference. It was quiet and we had access to shops and restaurants in the immediate area. This was my second stay at this hotel and I will definitely stay there again.
We decided to pay for the night but didn’t stay at the hotel. When we got there, we almost couldn’t find the hotel because the pictures on Booking.com are very different on what it is. It is not a nice place.
We stayed at he motel for nostalgic reasons. We visited the hotel as a family over the years, so it was a special place for us. We always loved the Chestnut Tree restaurant and we were sad to see it closed.
Location was terrific 👌, hotel was clean and staff was super friendly & kind. Room was perfect with balcony on the river. The beds were a little uncomfortable but im use to a super soft mattress.
We had a wonderful time visiting Cherokee. Our stay was amazing and pleasant. Very convenient to casino which is why we went. Hotel was very nice, staff were great and super clean.
the staff was extremely pleasant and the hotel was very clean. Room was very clean and comfy. We have stayed here numerous times one of our favorite hotels in Cherokee, NC
This hotel is perfectly situated across the street from the Cherokee Casino. There was a fridge in our room which was nice to pick up beverages from the gas station.
