The team at Atha go out of their way to make you happy, including deliciously home cooked food. Expect a humble place with great charm. The owner used the COVID lockdown to fit thousands of pebbles everywhere, turning the place into a gorgeous hideaway. The safari arranged is particularly good as the driver used is a veteran of the park. He arranges breakfast at a beautiful lodge, in the park, halfway throug your safari. Unique and only possible because he knows the people.

We have travelled all over Sri Lanka and being nature fans this was our best stay by far. The commodities are quite basic but what you would expect being in total seclusion in the wild. The staff go above and beyond for you and the chef is the best chef by far, it was just incredible to have food of such quality in such a remote area. The morning is when you can sit relax and watch crocodiles pass by and there ate also monkeys and a family of water monitors. The safari with was above and beyond it was just fantastic. The prices for everything were really good. Just a tip if you book and fancy wine or beers make sure to order beforehand. I would recommend this place to everyone thinking of glamping in sri lanka as it exceeded our expectations and more Thankyou to the whole team for giving us a time to remember.

A great area in front of the beautiful river. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

Everything! Kottawatta surprised us at every turn; from the cold facial towels upon entry to the poolside drinks to an amazing curry for dinner. As a plus, the room was extremely comfortable. Our safari organized through the hotel was exceptional!

We were greeted by all the staff with a little welcome drink while our luggage was already brought to our tent. Our standard tent / room was beautiful, tidy and clean but also made us feel like real jungle pioneers at night, where we could hear nothing but the river and the animals - no Tuktuk honking for once! Our bbq candle light dinner at the river bank was a mix of local and western food and very romantic. The staff is very friendly and tended to all our needs. Breakfast and pool were fantastic too. 10/10 glamping experience - would recommend and do again if possible!
