Set in Waihi in the Waikato region, Union Street Hideaway offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace.

This place was a dream. Wish we could live there! Hideaway was quiet, and still right near shopping, dining, and excursions. Our hosts were a remarkable, friendly couple. They were the owners and obviously took great pride in their lodging . We stayed in their "studio", which was very roomy and comfortable, with every convenience available. Large, modern bathroom, cooking facilities, a barbeque and picnic table right outside our door, and a hot tub available to us. Our favorite place we stayed in our 3-week New Zealand trip!

I would strongly suggest this place to my friends. The alpacas and other friendly animals are sooooo lovely. We were lucky enough to see the Milky Way during the night, and the sunrise in the early morning. The cabin is much cozy and warmer than I expected.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely cabin! Lucy and Paddy are the best hosts anyone can ever wish for, they were extremely kind to us, even showed us around their amazing farm. The house has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay, and it's located in a peaceful and beautiful environment. We definitely recommend it, and hope to come back some day. Thank you again Lucy and Paddy for such a great stay!

The cottage is behind the host's charming old cottage, with lovely garden surrounds. It was very quiet and peaceful and the hosts were lovely to interact with. We were able to park our car in the back yard right in front of the cottage. The amenities inside were good. He cottage has air conditioning which was appreciated.

Cleverly designed and built so that visitors can wake and see - from their beds - beautiful views all around, including the nearby field of alpacas! All the facilities are stylish and high spec, and everything is pristine clean. If you’re able to get up around 7.30/8am, you can help Neil feed the family’s alpacas and goats. And there are fantail birds filling the pine trees by the room pods, and fully grown (and still alive) kauri trees on the farm; it’s very special here.

We were travelling on bikes and it is right by the railway line and rail trail so location was perfect. The house is old school but in great condition. Beds were comfy. Had a washing machine and place to lock the bikes.

Great little cabin up in the hills. Feeding the Alpacas definitely the draw card, very cute! Very tidy and clean, modern cabin and bathroom. Nice comfy bed and quality linen, pillows etc. Complimentary milk, tea, coffee. All on solar power. Only 5mins either way to Karangahake Walks or Waihi township.
