Quiet, peaceful with the sounds of nature all around. The wind in the trees, the little river running in front of the cottage and the lovely bird song. The swimming pool to cool down in, after a walk through the surrounding vineyards, the fire place in the cool evenings and the clean, comfy, cottage. The coffee machine and delicious rusks, where an extra bonus. Thank you Michelle, it was wonderful.

The bedroom and bathroom were both huge and decorated very nicely. Bed was super comfy. Lovely views over the vines from the pool (not heated but perfect for hot days). It was our anniversary when we were there and the staff left us a bottle of sparkling wine and rose petals on the bed which was very sweet.

The accommodation itself was clean, modern and beautifully designed. Situated just outside the bustling town, it offered a peaceful retreat with easy access to all attractions. A special mention to the friendly new GM and Duty Manager who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even lighting an outside fire in the boma for that true South African experience. Highly recommend for a memorable stay in Franschhoek.

The location was a pleasant easy walk into town with it's many lovely restaurants and individual retail shops. It was nice to have the indoor open fire and BBQ facility out on the terrace with a table, chairs and comfy couch. The cottage kitchen was well equipped and the cottage size was very good.

The views are absolutely stunning and the deck is well designed for comfort. You do not get better in terms of location with close enough access to civilisation and the novelty of being able to retreat to nature for some much needed downtown.

The house is brilliantly equipped with everything to make guests comfortable. Comfy beds, back up lights for load shedding times, air conditioning and heater, the sunny verandah with a pretty view of the mountains.
