Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Portman Lodge offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. With free private parking, the property is 20 km from Monkey World and 25 km from Poole Harbour. Corfe Castle is 32 km away and Salisbury Racecourse is 35 km from the guest house. Breakfast was excellent and honestly why we chose Portman Lodge. My husband wanted to experience an English Breakfast. Neal was super helpful and friendly. The room was much nicer, comfortable and more modern than expected.

This recently renovated guest house is located 38 km from Corfe Castle and 40 km from Golden Cap. The guest house has family rooms. Beautifully furnished, excellent location, brilliant and friendly owners and amazing breakfasts. First time staying at The Calm Sea Guesthouse and I can't recommend this place highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.

Basically a converted garden shed (hence the name) - but VERY extensively converted at that. Super comfortable room, bathroom next door (with an amazing shower head, never thought I'd mention that in a B&B but here we are). Fronting on a large and very nice garden, including lots of birds, occasionally the owner's dog bouncing around (super friendly!), and even the odd rabbit. The owners are amazing, and - as also hinted in the name - they make their own Cider. Which you can of course taste, and buy if you like it (which you will if you like Cider in general).

The location was ideal, easy to find and only a short walk into town. The breakfast was very good, quality produce all well cooked. Our room was at the back and therefore very quiet, a comfortable room with everything we needed for our stay.
