Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the island and the lake. I found Zapote Tree Inn when looking for an alternative to the more 'party' style hostels on the island, and I'm so glad I did. I highly recommend it to any travellers looking for some quiet and relaxation. Zapote Tree is sat in a beautiful spot in San Miguel, across the lake from Flores, with a lovely rooftop view of the island and plenty of hammocks for relaxing. There are forest trails nearby and it is really easy to travel across the lake (10Q to the island). Peter and Eric are wonderful, so warm and welcoming and very helpful with organising tours and shuttles. The food I ate there was also delicious. I really recommend taking a boat tour of the lake with Peter - the bird life is wonderful.
