We usually went to the center with a 10 ~15 minutes walking without any problem and if you prefer, it is very easy to take a bus in the center of the city with less then 160 pesos that will take you until 2 squares from the hostel.

La casa del Viajero has rooms with shared and private bathrooms. They feature colourful bedspreads and regional décor. Dormitory rooms are fully carpeted and feature mattresses on floor level. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hostel is into the nature, just 20 minutes walking from the center of the city. Tomas (hotel's staff) offered to pick us up from the terminal! And also gave us a ride when we had to go again! It's a very nice place to stay, we will absolutely come back!
