Situated in Freiburg im Breisgau and within 700 metres of Freiburg Cathedral, Black Forest Hostel has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. It is one of the best hostels I ever stay in. Very clean and thoughtful decorated. There is all the amenities, high standard needed for an awesome stay. Close to the water, train station (about 200m) and a few good restaurants around. Last and not least, Analuisa, is that host that you wanna hug every second minute - helpful, a good singer and everything that one wants when starting the Camino journey. Thank you, Analuisa! Quietly located in Waldbronn, just 350 meters from the spa gardens. this family-run hotel features a restaurant, a garden and on-site bicycle rentals. Tyypillinen saksalainen aamupala. Oli kahvia, tuoreita sämpylöitä, kinkkua, juustoa makkaraa ja marmeladia. Myös keitettyjä munia. Kyllä sillä liikkeelle pääsi.

Located on the edge of a peaceful forest on the outskirts of Freiburg, this hostel features a breakfast buffet, table tennis facilities and a sun terrace. Römerhof tram stop is only 1 km away. I'm vegan, and as I informed the staff a couple of days before they gave me vegan cheese and vegan ham for breakfast. (And there were normally other vegan options, like muesli, jam, bread etc.). The location is very quiet.
