Great communication from a friendly and responsive host. Sonni went out of her way to accomodate my (often last minute) changes of plans because of foul weather. The food was tasty, good portions and I just loved the barista coffee in the morning.
The bunks are furnished with curtains, a small ledge to put your phone etc. An electric outlet was also present in the bunk. Very practical!
The bathroom and showers were very clean and spacious.
The common living and dining room is cosy, roomy and a nice place to meet other guests.
Thank you so much for a very nice stay Sonni! I'll be back ;)

The pod was nice and clean, comfy bed and the pod has Netflix. Hot tub was nice temperature and had nice lighting inside the tub. Nice view of the river. Was a cheap stay compared to other pods in the area. The dog is so cute and so friendly and well behaved, she stayed in our pod with us for a good couple of hours having cuddles
Safe, tidy, all you need in the hostel with a private room and parking. Great views. Photo from the walks from Basecamp Wales.
The bunk beds were double sized, really nice to have a big bed in a hostel. The hiking route up Snowdon recommended by the person at reception was great.
I just liked evrything about it. Its in a great location if you liie to do walking/hiking or just want to see Snowdonia. The rooms are exactly that a bunk bed and an adjoining bathroom with a shower sink and toilet in it. Just what you need to rest your head after a long hike. Like its as basic as you can get which for me is exactly what i wanted. The pub downstairs also sells food and does a breakfast from 8.30 and the food there is great too! I would definitely go back there. :)
The location is amazing , 10 minutes to the left your in the most spectacular mountain scenery easy acess to all the main tourist and walking routes all within max 40 min drive , the cleanliness and facilities are the best absolutely immaculate place, Tim and Tom are wonderful hosts and the fine detail they add such as foam mattresses, bath towels , and all the little extras make this the best hostel in Wales by absolute far , we love it the views the vibe and the animals just make it such a great place to stay
Absolutely fantastic location for walking around Snowdon and the National park. Incredible value for money, especially going in December when I went. Great kitchen facilities to make your own food. I ended up being ‘upgraded’ to a 6 person dormitory all to myself. The beds all have plug sockets accessible which was great and a little light also. A very well structured and kept hostel. The breakfast was good value for money.
This is the best hostel ever! We got perfect service and attention from the owner. Thank you for that. Great location and very clean.
Great location, great atmosphere for a self-catered stay, and an interesting history as the first youth hostel in the UK. Staff were a delight and couldn't ask for more in terms of the price!
Friendly Staff that were happy to help. Great location with plenty of shops and restaurant within walking distance. Was perfect for what we needed. Great Hostel for climbers wanting cheap accommodation.
