La struttura è pulita, super organizzata e curata anche nei più piccoli dettagli. I miei complimenti al proprietario per come tiene e gestisce la struttura. Inoltre ha Stile ed onestà, avevo prenotato 2 giorni ma per problemi con la mia bicicletta non potevo raggiungere in tempo la struttura, così ho chiesto nello stesso giorno della prenotazione se potevo cancellare e tenere solo il giorno dopo. Non era obbligato e poteva benissimo dirmi che era troppo tardi per cancellare il giorno prenotato, ma con grande onestà ha accettato e me lo ha rimborsato . Così io ho potuto dormire in un altro posto senza perdere soldi ed il giorno dopo sono andato da lui.! Grazie ancora. Moooolto consigliato.

First things first: this is a welcoming place. I enjoyed my short time at Kotohira a lot and a huge reason for that was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the guesthouse. The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

We arrived early for check in and he allowed us to keep our baggage so we can head out for our trip. We came back late for check in but he waited for us patiently and even moved our baggage to our rooms before we arrived so we had everything settled as soon as we checked in Very comfortable stay, will be back if I visit Takamatsu again! Location was just a few mins walk from public transportation and other attractions.

I bloody loved this place! The 2000 yen dinners were fantastic and Ryu the Chef could cook anything gluten free, so for me it was a dream to be able to eat all Japanese styles and not be restricted to just sashimi or sushi, plus..... he played a mean guitar and ukulele and knew a whole bunch of songs. We had some great jam sessions and interactions with the other guests. I recommend taking the cooking lessons if you get a chance- I learned how to make Dashi and prepare Shabu Shabu. The breakfast was a full meal prepared by Ryu- not just the usual cheese, boiled egg and toast. As hostels go - this one is a cracker!
