Southsea Royale is a newly designed 3 bedroom James Bond themed penthouse apartment. It was created during lockdown & was the alleged former home of legendary Bond actor Sean Connery when he was based in the Royal Navy in Portsmouth. It has a James Bond theme with many original movie posters, mannequins, cool lighting & memorabilia. It is located just 300 metres from Southsea seafront, South Parade Pier and the trendy Southsea Beach Cafe. Wooden floors throughout, kingsize bed, double bed, super kingsize bed or option of two single beds. Open plan lounge and kitchen, with fridge, freezer, dishwasher & breakfast bar. Views of the Spinnaker Tower and over the city. Jumbo sized Jacuzzi bath and electric shower in the bathroom, 55 inch tv, wifi & broadband. Own parking for two cars. Please note, although the parking is directly outside on the forecourt, the apartment is located on the top, (second floor) with two flights of stairs. Suitable for families and couples and anyone looking for a little piece of Bond magic or an unforgettable escape, it sleeps up to 6 people. Ranked No. 2 Air BnB in Hampshire and No.11 in England out of 27,000 for top reviews & value, as of February 2022.
Myself and my wife live very close to the property and our always on hand to help. We have a love of movies especially James Bond, so the Air BnB's are a chance to do something that we are very passion about. I have traveled extensively especially during my surfing days and want you to have a truly unique experience.
The property is located in a quiet residential area, just a five minute walk from South Parade Pier, which has live entertainment and a large co-op store. The Canoe Lake, Beach Cafe and seafront are a 3 minute walk. Gunwharf shops area 35 minute walk along the seafront or a 7 minute taxi ride. The apartment benefits from two parking spaces as long as you park one car on the forecourt and one in the road in front of the space. There are regular buses which are only a 3 minute walk. Palmerston Road shops, which have numerous bars and restaurants are only a 15 minute walk. There are plenty of places to visit with Cumberland House Natural History Museum being a five minute walk. Portsmouth Museum is a 20 minute walk and the Historical Dockyard, which includes The Warrior, The first iron clad warship, The Mary Rose Henry 8th Flag ship and HMS Victory, Nelsons ship from The Battle of Trafalgar are all based further along the seafront. You can also visit the birth place of Charles Dickens and its museum as well as the birthplace of Peter Sellers who imortalised The Pink Panther. Beaulieu is a 50 minute drive with an impressive car collection and a James Bond exhibition.
