You might want to consider this if travelling with someone older as location may not be suitable if they can’t walk far but walk is on the flat. Loads of lovely restaurants within 15 mins walk away. The staff were very friendly, I got the single room which is nice for a solo traveller, the closet is spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room was also very clean so I was happy with that. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was good.

The staff was super friendly. The rooms are spaceous and the have a big citchen, a cozy living room, a social room and even a bar. I could leave my backpack in the morning to check-in later and it was not a problem. The beds and showers were clean. Unfortunately I was just there for one night but next time I will stay longer and I already know it will be this hostel.

I wanted somewhere that was close to all of Yorks amenities for him to be able to walk to, and this apartment was absolutely ideal, less than 10 mins slow walk into all the shops and York Minster Cathedral, The Jorvik Viking Centre and the Golden Tours Sightseeing bus trip.

Jorvik - an interesting journey through time and well worth visiting. York Minster and the crypt with it's Roman history and the story of how they are saving the Minster from sinking and cracking further. The Yorkshire Museum with its different exhibits ranging from Richard III, the Romans and Medieval times to extinct animals of the world. Also the museum gardens are worth wandering around.
