It was also very private! We were greeted by the alpacas upon arrival and Amir was an amazing host! he even provided us with firewood to make a gorgeous fire at night. He was very responsive to our messages as well - a lovely host who gave us so many local tips and tricks. We will be coming back again! Highly recommend this unique spot, perfect for couples!

Kauri Lodge Karapirois 15 minutes' drive from both Hobbiton Movie Set and Cambridge Town Centre. This holiday home is an hour drive from Waitomo Caves, Tauranga and Rotorua. The location was perfect for our plans, surrounded by beautiful, lush green hills. The hosts were lovely and provided everything we needed for our stay.

The hosts are very friendly, presenting us with home baked bread and supplies for our breakfasts on arrival, helpful and respectful. This is a place where you can have as much physical activity and/or relaxation activity with relaxing spa, tree top bath, swim in the swimming holes and hikes for all abilities. You do need to bring some cooking supplies for main meals which can be prepared on the BBQ or in the resort kitchen.

This unique Mediterranean-style villa offers rooms with views of the ocean or the Firth of Thames. Guests enjoy free parking and free WiFi. A real gem on the Coromandel coast. Superb location, beautiful garden, breathtaking view. Christine made us a delicious hot breakfast. The room had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay.

Boasting a terrace and room service, Hare's Rest is attractively set in Taupo, 31 km from Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park and 31 km from Orakei Korako - The Hidden Valley. This lodge has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. We planned a short girls trip to Taupo with my pet dog. The accommodation was absolutely lovely, despite the bad weather. It was warm and cosy, the hosts were extremely nice. Would certainly recommend staying here multiple days to fully enjoy and relax. My dog was in heaven, huge grounds to run around and play in - one of the best pet friendly accommodations we've stayed in

Ideally located just 5 minutes' drive from Whitianga town centre, WoodyHanger Lodge features views over Mercury Bay and is just metres away from native bush. It boasts an outdoor pool with bay views. Free WiFi is offered. What a view, just stunning! And what a comfortable, clean house with, thoughtful furnishings, lovely details and it was very cosy too. The hosts where very friendly, warm and welcomming.
