Everything was as I was expecting. Great place to stay on the way to Italy. Large and clean rooms, tasty food. Easy access from the autobahn. I can easily recommend it.

Located directly on the shore of Lake Klopein in Carinthia, Strandhotel Orchidee offers a private beach and a spa area. Each room has a balcony with lake views. This was our fourth time here and we normally had an apartment. But this time we had a double room with lake view: the morning and evening views were simply astonishing. Breakfast had a big variety of food. We also love that dogs are welcomed everywhere (except at the dinning room), but the most extraordinary about this accommodation is its managing staff and employees who make you feel like a VIP and always try to fulfill any of your requests. We will come back next year for sure.

Super breakfast with multiple choices for vegetarians and kids as well. The hotel service was very helpful (the kitchen was closed when we arrived, but the lady from reception warmed up our pizza and brought us plates). The hotel staff speaks several languages, very easy to communicate. Easy late check-in. Many leaf-lets with additional information about activities near hotel.
