Good location - you can get to the ski resort in Bad Gastein by train (which also transports cars) in 20 minutes. We recommend it, we will gladly come back.

In a quiet location a 10-minute walk from the centre of Flattach, Hotel Gletschermühle offers a restaurant, a sauna, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms have a south-facing balcony overlooking the mountains. Spacious room, nice staff, delicious food, good access.

Located in Mallnitz, Hotel Kärntnerhof offers a Finnish sauna, steam shower and infrared cabin, as well a games room, a children's playground, covered parking for motorbikes, and free WiFi access. The location is surrounded by mountain, small flowing stream and beautiful scenic beauty. The accommodation is a top notch place with respect to facilities. I have stayed there for 4 nights and enjoyed a lot. There was a small kitchen inside the room, well lit room, running hot water 24/7. The lady at reception was really helpful, helped me to plan the whole trip and offered me bus ride around the town.

Hotel Hubertus is situated at the entrance of Hohe Tauern National Park in Mallnitz. It is located 500 metres from the centre and offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms. We travelled with a rather large group of friends, so we were assigned a separate dining room for all our meals, which was great because it meant we could enjoy ourselves without bothering the other guests too much. The hosts were very helpful. The food was good, based on traditional meals, but there were also vegetarian options and special menus for the children. The apartments were very spacious, as well as the balcony (which we did not use because it was winter, but I imagine it is wonderful during warmer seasons).
