In an area where English is not common (and my Spanish is not great) the front desk staff was wonderful at helping me navigate some more complicated logistics.

Main thing was how friendly and welcoming the hosts were! Breakfast and the room were great but that is what really made it for us. Hotel is beautiful and quite comfortable. Rocio met us when we arrived and helped out in our planning of what to do and see. We would go back just for Rocio. If you are planning to be in Chile Chico, go 5 minutes out of town and stay here. If you are not going to Chile Chico, plan to go and to stay at the Hotel Posada del Rio it is truly great.

Located 200 metres from Plaza de Armas square, El Reloj Hotel offers accommodations in Coyhaique. Free Wi-Fi access is available here. we stayed here before and after the Patagonman Xtri race plus an extra night when our flight got cancelled. Staff were amazing and so friendly, even allowing us to check in at 1am after the race. rooms were lovely and we had amazing views of the valley. they also looked after our bike boxes with us while we travelled about a bit which made life so much easier for us. nice quiet location about a 5min walk from the centre of town and able to provide a gluten free breakfast for me.
