Situated in Tarcoles, 400 metres from Tarcoles Beach, Akua Suites Ocean View features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Amazing villas with an even better view. We stayed here for one night and the hotel helped us arrange a ride to the San Jose airport for the following morning. Everything was smooth. Only thing I might yeild if you do stay there is the town that is walkable did not seem very tourist friendly

Offering a outdoor pool and sun terrace, Cerro Lodge is located in Tárcoles in the Puntarenas Region. Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant and free private parking is available on site. The room was basically a small private bungalow with a unique feature: an outside toilet and bathroom in that it was part of the small outside garden but sealed off from view. I thought this was amusing though I can imagine some might find it bizarre. Another interesting feature were the birds visible when eating breakfast. I don't believe in feeding the wildlife but it was a pleasure to see so many birds including a few Aras (red parrots). We saw more there than in any of the parks. Breakfast was good and the pizza was good too...made by an Italian so it had to be. Great stopover place when travelling from the north pacific coast to the south atlantic coast.

Rancho Capulin B&B features accommodation closer to Tárcoles. The property has an outdoor swimming pool, as well as a garden. Both free WiFi and private parking are available on site. Rancho Capulin is an elegant and beautiful work of architectual and landscape design. The views from there are gorgeous, and the sights and sounds of nature are plentiful and wonderful. The room was very serene and very comfortable. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The location is great. Quiet and tucked away, but only a few minutes from Carara National Park, and other local activities. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

It’s amazing property in secluded place surrounded by pure nature. It’s touching Carara National Park and it’s home of huge variety of birds. We made a great birdwatching tour there with local guide. Local organic food that goes from farm to plate was delicious (i.e crepes with home made chocolate really surprised us). If you love nature or you are just looking for total tranquility, Macaw lodge shall be part of your consideration. You need a vehicle with high ground clearance to get there (unpaved roads).

Located in Tarcoles and only 300 metres from Tarcoles Beach, House of the Macaws provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Agustino was very king and helpfull, the place is very well maintain, awesome Access to the beach through a little park where you can see many couple of arras very well. Better than in cararra national Park actually.
