Great location - right on the beach and an easy walk to restaurants, etc. Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a balcony with view of ocean. Great restaurant - Roberto's - on the premises. Food and menu selections were very good for both breakfast and dinner. One of my favorite parts of this hotel was all the varied spaces where one could sit outdoors: at the restaurant right on the beach (or up under cover out of the sun); on the upper level where there was a small pool and a great view of the sunset over the water; and at least one area on each floor with a couple of chairs/ loveseat/ coffee table. Highly recommend!

The beachfront Hotel el Velero boasts an outdoor pool and a private beach where you can choose to swim, lounge or relax. Super location right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.

Set in Playa Hermosa, 37 km from Tamarindo, Golden Palms Papagayo features free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Staff brilliant, breakfast very good. Facilities first class. Pool and hotel grounds are excellent. Rooms are very spacious and bright. We were entertained by a family of howler monkeys that would come into the trees around the pool and feed on the mangoes. It's better than any national park. Plus, we have seen an armadillo and an exceptionally large iguana in the grounds. If you want isolation and a quiet break, this is the place to stay. Restaurant food very good, just the menu is a little limited. The hotel is a little isolated, and you would need a car to get around.

The hotel is directly across from the beach with hammocks and lounge areas onsite and a skate park, basketball court, table tennis courts, and other fitness/water activities & tour options nearby. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance and some of the most friendly people I have ever met. Breakfast is included, credit cards and US dollars are readily accepted, and many people speak English.

Nacazcol Hotel & Villas is approximately 1 km from Guanacaste Coco Beach and a 20-minute drive from Daniel Oduber Airport, on the main road. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet location. Lovely swimming pool.

Located right on Playa Hermosa Beach, this boutique hotel offers an outdoor pool and hot tub, tropical gardens and a gourmet restaurant. The property was absolutely stunning. we felt privileged to stay in such a please of beauty. However, even more amazing were the staff. the property is beautiful, but the staff are excellent. Every single one was charming, friendly, welcoming, helpful and very kind. Roy especially was great.
