The decor in the rooms was lovely, and the facilities were exceptional. The private pool with my bungalow was the perfect size, and the chairs and shower for a great setup.

Facility is amazing, lots of wildlife and huge trees surrounding the property that you can see from all parts of the hotel. The staff was especially incredible. Joseph, Cristian, Manfred, Marianna and especially Daniel were all some of the best human beings that my girlfriend have ever experienced from a hotel staff. They go above and beyond with essentially every need of their guests, without question. Drinks and food are excellent, and the walk to the beach is roughly 3 minutes.

Breakfast was great, morning coffees served to the rooms were great, 24/7 open pool was also great! we even received a small gift from the staff as we were on our honeymoon. this was our favourite accomodation in Costa Rica.

It was a rough road to get here but the slowness of travel allowed to take in the beautiful scenery.

Staying at Umami felt a bit like paradise. The design of the hotel is beautiful, everything was very clean. Privacy wise it's important to know that only the toilet is in a separate room, the shower and sink/vanity are part of the bedroom. The staff was super helpful and attentive. We had a lot of questions regarding tours, transport etc and they patiently helped us with everything. We definitely recommend this place.
