We were traveling around Iceland and this horel was the best one. Hotel is located in wonderful nature by the lake, but only few minutes drive from Egillstadir. Staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. It’s set in a lovely town and great for a overnight stay

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Very cute Icelandic hotel and the staff were super nice.

Very comfortable stay. Proximity to Studlagil gorge and amazing staff. Hrafndis was a wonderful hostess.

Set in Eiðar, 49 km from Hengifoss, Eiðar - Hostel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is located 33 km from Gufufoss. The room and facilities were easy to access via door codes, and we did not need to meet any staff to bother with keys or check-ins. The TVs in the room had stream apps available to sign into (Netflix, Amazon, Etc).

Hotel Eskifjörður is located in Eskifjörður. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. You can enjoy mountain view from the room. Breakfast was good. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the food! The rooms were spacious and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find a good restaurant on town. We recommend this hotel.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. Beautiful location just outside of town. It looked very picturesque in the snow. We were early for check in, so was invited to have a coffee and relax in the lounge room which was nice and cosy showing views of the snow falling. This felt nice and welcoming from the staff. Tea and coffee making facilities in room and a nice hot shower. The hot tub and happy hour made the stay even better.

This design hotel is located in Fáskrúdsfjördur village in Iceland’s Eastfjords region. It offers free parking and tastefully decorated rooms with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. The staff was very nice. This is a small, comfortable, quiet & pleasant hotel. Room was large. There are several buildings. We were happy to have a room in the main building. There was a cute, laid back restaurant and bar area

Set in Seydisfjördur village, this accommodation offers rooms with free WiFi. Egilsstadir village is 28 km away. The property also offers on-site free parking. Our stay at The Bank (Hotel Aldan) was perfect. Check-in was easy and contact free. Our room was very unique and clean. It was easy to quickly drive out of town at night to find a secluded spot in the dark to view the Northern Lights. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Can recommend the Kaffi Lára El Grillo Bar down the road for dinner.
