The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The location is amazing - 2 minutes walking from the train station and 5-10 minutes walking from Takayama's main attractions. The hotel is really small and cozy, overlooking a pedestrian street. The staff was really nice, spoke good English and helped us book a restaurant for dinner when everything around seemed to be already booked. We stayed in Takayama during the spring festival and the town was really busy with tourist. Because of that the price seemed a little higher but the hotel really delivered. The room was big, comfortable, modern. The beds were great for resting. The bathroom was wooden (nice touch) really well decorated and sparkling clean. We had various amenities at our disposal and comfy pajamas. The breakfast was nice - western style although we were expecting to have something Japanese which was a bit disappointing but it was prepared in front of us and was tasty and fresh. It was rainy during our stay and the hotel supplied free umbrellas. Overall we are super happy with our stay here!

A short walk to the main station and a very central location. We were able to fortunately check in 1h early after a long and early journey without additional surcharge, unlike what is common with other hotels now. The yukata provided in room were very luxurious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious by Japanese standards. I will keep an eye out for this chain hotel’s other locations in the future.
