The staff of the Hotel were really friendly and approachable. They were always willing to answer my questions and render assistance. I will never forget how the security guard even stood next to me while i was waiting for my BOLT Car ride (Taxi) to arrive. They kept me company with conversation and made sure the driver was not lost. The area is very safe and close to westgate shopping mall which any tourist can comfortably walk around in and enjoy the usual creature comforts (Restaurants, food, cinema etc). They have a restaurant which is helpful if you are lazy to leave the hotel for food. The breakfast was good. Nice view of the playing field opposite the hotel where you can see international people all playing sports together. There was not too much noise in the room. The microwave and full sized fridge were great additions meaning you have some ability to prepare food. There are no pots and pans/ plates but that didnt bother me. Room was very clean and comfortable. No AC but again that didnt bother me and seems to be a common thing in Kenya.

Città con molti contrasti, ma positiva!
Ho visitato a piedi il centro città, molto moderno e con buoni servizi. Sempre a piedi, ma con un'ottima guida locale, ho visitato la baraccopoli di Mathare, dove le persone sono state molto cordiali ed accoglienti, per nulla ostili. La si raggiunge con un Matatu, piccolo minibus. Qui, rispetto al centro, è un altro mondo, semplice e privo di fronzoli, ma tuttavia allegro ed accogliente. Decisamente un netto contrasto rispetto alla Nairobi del centro. Mangiato in centro per pochi scellini ottimo pollo fritto con patatine, riso e verdure in uno dei numerosi piccoli ristoranti sparsi ovunque. Nairobi dà l'impressione di una città in continua evoluzione, molto aperta al turismo e alla moderna tecnologia. Ottima impressione, ci tornerò sicuramente per approfondire.

Breve viaggio di lavoro. Spostamenti hotel-fiera-hotel con taxi. Cena in hotel. Nairobi è diventata una capitale caotica con traffico indescrivibile durante le ore di punta. Un consiglio? In auto, non abbassate i finestrini e tenete nascosti oggetti quali borse e telefoni...

Mi piace l'Africa, Nairobi è una metropoli con palazzi modernissimi. Naturalmente ci sono molte contraddizioni. Comunque la città merita un tour ed è un ottimo punto di partenza per visitare molti posti con paesaggi indescrivibili (Masai Mara, Hell's Gate..). Molto verde ovunque e molti locali per mangiare e musica.

Nairobi è una città per business , ma offre tutto quello che un turista possa cercare , anche la vicinanza al parco maasai mara è ottima ,un grosso problema è il traffico ,se si potesse in qualche modo migliorare questo , sarebbe una città pari a cape town .

Nairobi has become a world city, offering the traveller all the amenities and comforts to be found in other continents, albeit, still, at a generally higher price than elsewhere. It has a diverse culinary scene, relying mostly on cuisines from other countries, as East African food does not quite shine for its creativity. In the absence of decent - and safe - public transportation, Uber has become a real lifeline as a viable alternative. In terms of safety, however, the order of the day is still never to lower your guard: especially if you are white, you stand out too easily, and the stereotype is still that Europeans and Americans are walking ATMs.

Nairobi e' spesso trascurata dagli italiani, ma invece...
Nairobi e' spesso trascurata dagli italiani, ma invece vale la pena passarci un paio di giorni pieni. Sicuramente bisogna dedicare mezza giornata al Nairobi National Park, soprattutto per famiglie con bambini occasione davvero ottima per vedere gli animali veramente da vicino e in un ambiente naturale molto bello, come non sempre e' possibile nei safari classici nei grandi parchi. Poi il Giraffe Center e la visita al David Sheldrick per vedere l'allattamento degli elefantini.

Nairobi di per se è una megalopoli africana. Non molto bella e si ha la percezione di un degrado sociale. Non ho mai avuto problemi di sicurezza. Le persone sono cordiali e disponibili. Il Safari è da fare assolutamente così come soggiornare sulla costa
