I like that Mandal finally has another HOTEL since I last visited! It was long overdue. Everyone was helpful, the food was great at breakfast and for dinner on another night. The location and access to the city was wonderful.

Just 8 minutes’ walk from Kristiansand’s Markensgate shopping street, this Scandic hotel is located by the small Bystranda beach. Guests can enjoy free WiFi, an on-site restaurant and a hotel bar. We have traveled a lot and must admit this is the best breakfast we ever had - eggs were done in many different ways, there were even cooked meals such as beans, you could choose from fish to sweet part (pancakes). Fruit and coffee was everywhere. Family room we stayed in is very comfortable and spatious. We liked the underfloor heating in the toilet. Kids enjoyed table football in the lobby. Personel at the hotel were very polite and helpful (we had some issues with Dyrepark tickets so they assisted us with these), but also in the overall. We will definetly stay again here.

The hotel is like being in a private club. Immaculately clean. Wait until you see how the breakfast is presented it is exceptional and delicious. Very neat and tidy place with all the facilities and easy access to swimming pool downstairs. Places such as Dyrepark, Canon museum , Cathedral are Not far as well. We all had a great time there and kids really had a wonderful time . We definitely recommend the property and hopefully in coming summers if there are plans to visit southern Norway, will surely stay here. Thanks Anurag

We got our room upgraded for free to one of the outermost sea-view rooms, and it was spectacular. The onsite restaurant is fantastic and serves a great dinner as well as a great breakfast. We used this hotel as a base for driving around the southern parts of Norway.

Overall very clean,no dust even upon the shelves.Hot water with good pressure,heating.No bad smells,No insects,flies,mosquitos.,Very quiet day-night.Perfect view to the fjord,from our balcony.We stayed off-season,April.The region is perfect for relaxing-fishing,has a bay on sight.Driving Risor 20min..All at the kitchenette works,big refrigerator.Good beds and comfort.Cabin maybe small and little old but all is very practical.Good sofa for relaxing.Dinning table and chairs.Tv works,connection to WiFi is good.Plenty sockets.Parking next to the cabin.Easy late check-in at 21.00.
