MacKenzie Country Hotel is located in Twizel, in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook and MacKenzie Country Region. It offers modern rooms with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. The breakfast was REALLY good! Not complimentary but a great selection and everything was quite tasty.

The Heritage Gateway Hotel is situated in Omarama, at the crossroads of MacKenzie Basin, Lindis Pass and Waitaki Valley. It offers panoramic views and excellent hiking and biking opportunities. Hot breakfast buffet was the best we had on our trip to New Zealand. Can’t say enough how great the staff was!

The Rest is set in Twizel and features a tennis court. With quiet street views, this accommodation provides a patio. Very nice unit with everything you need. Very clean. There was also a bbq for grilling. Convenient location.

Offering mountain views, Pukaki Air Lodge in Twizel offers accommodation, barbecue facilities, a terrace and a shared lounge. Complimentary WiFi is available. It was one of the most unique and comfortable places we stayed at in New Zealand. Only wish we had more time to spend there.

BigSky Motels offers air-conditioned accommodation in Omarama. The accommodation features ski storage space, as well as a tennis court and barbecue facilities. it was new, really clean and comfortable and had good cooking facilities in the room.Everything close by.

Situated by Lake Pukaki on a hilltop, Pukaki Lakeside Getaway NZ features panoramic views of Mt Cook and the surrounding farmlands. It is a 30-minute drive from Lake Tekapo and offers free WiFi. The views are really stunning.. Clear check in instructions, easy to drive. A quiet but cozy place, beautiful sunrise and night sky. The bed and sofa is comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped.

Quail Rest is located on Totara Peak Station which is a working High Country Station situated on the shores of Lake Benmore 22kms from Twizel township. Free WiFi and private parking is included. Peace and quiet. Having a fireplace is really nice. BBQ is also lovely. Sonja the host is also lovely and communication went great at all times. Will for sure return in summer to experience it differently.
