Wonderful small hotel in a renovated old house. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and it was the best dinner we had at a restaurant in three week's Portugal (other hotels also had great restaurants but this one was also very affordable for the quality we got). The breakfast was rather intimate and this small hotel cannot offer big buffets like a bigger hotel but it was still among the best breakfasts we had in three weeks in Portugal because it had enough variety and top quality. The terarace and pool have great views. We had a big room which was perfect for us as a family of four.

The staff is super friendly. They try to do everything to please you and always with a smile. The breakfast has good variety and everything is fresh and it's replaced really quick and often. You can also do some special orders. We actually had some cake and asked if they could make us one to take home and they did. The rooms are big and the beds are super confortable. The view is beautiful and you can buy a picnic basket and go for a picnic at a beautiful place that they recommend. Overall I would really recommend, we loved it.

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally situated on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a typical mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. The food was amazing, the service was lovely. Everyone was super kind and we really felt welcomed. It doesn't feel like a typical hotel with a big hallway and everything fancy, and we missed nothing. We even loved even more the picturesque vibes it gives, and how it blends into the mountain landscape. One of the top moments was the picnic 🧺 we ordered as an extra to take to our hike in the mountains 👌🏼

Casa das Penhas Dourades is a beautiful property in a gorgeous mountainous setting. The food for breakfast and in the restaurant was exceptional. The staff was helpful, friendly and so accommodating. The surrounding area was wonderful for sightseeing and hiking. I would definitely recommend this property.

The owners are super friendly and always taking care of you. You can park the car in front of the house (it’s a small village so no problem with the parking). Room is comfortable and really calm to sleep well. It has a patio outside where you can eat, read or relax your self. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of local products like fruits, cheese, etc...
