Beautiful environment with superb views over the river from our room. Food good and service efficient and friendly. My husbands birthday was during our stay and I arranged for a cake as a surprise. A large ice cream gateau with sparklers was presented with singing and dancing from the staff which was fabulous.

Ubytovanie Les Fromagers sa nachádza v destinácii Missira 6,6 km od miesta Rezervácia Fathala Wildlife. The hotel is located in a beautiful village next to a lake and the oldest tree in this region (it's very impressive to see). We stayed at les Fromagers because we wanted to visit the Fathala Wild life reserve that is close by. On our arrival we found out that there are so many other activities to do like going fishing, watching crocodiles, visiting the islands etc. The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We experienced their great hospitality and felt very comfortable during our stay. I can recommend you also to try out their restaurant, since you get very tasty seafood there, freshly caught by the local fisherman. We will definitely visit again, when we are in Senegal.

Offering a restaurant, Bed and breakfast Keur Niaye is located in Toubakouta. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning and a terrace. Just everything! Keur Niaye is a beautiful oasis and Celine and Gilles are such amazing hosts! They organized two unforgettable tours with the great guide Doudou, who knew almost every animal and tree. Every evening there was a really delicious three-course menu and it was particularly great that we ate together with the hosts and learned a lot about the village. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully furnished. We could have stayed much longer and done one of the exciting activities every day!

We really liked the B&B in general but were especially impressed with the excursions that were offered. David gave us a guided boat tour where we visited the small nearby island towns of Sipo and Missirah and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jenny was also very helpful with the logistics (especially because I don't speak French!) and helping me organise our time in Senegal. El Hadj is their taxi driver and we organised pretty much our whole trip throughout Senegal with him - he was fantastic. And there are a few restaurants nearby with delicious food. The breakfast offered at the B&B was delicious. Thank you!

Offering an outdoor pool, Fathala Wildlife Reserve is located in Toubakouta. The property offers a wildlife experience. Free private parking is possible on site. I liked everything about Fathala Wildlife Reserve. The tented room was large, quiet, clean and very comfortable. The A/C worked well, and I paid for a router in the room to have excellent WiFi connections. I loved the outdoor shower, and the peace and serenity of the setting.

Les Barracudas features accommodation located in Sokone in the Fatick region. A terrace with garden views is offered in each unit. The lodge offers a continental or buffet breakfast. Les Barracudas is very remote and is a uniquely peaceful place to visit. It was the place we felt the most removed from our busy lives in London and was the top highlight of our holiday to Senegal and The Gambia. There are lovely views over the Delta to soak in. It is very quiet with only the noise of singing birds or local fisherman in the background. The meals are simple, but delicious. It is not high-end luxury, but the environment and location is totally special. The air-con in the bedroom was a welcome addition. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. They made our visit feel very special. A particular mention to Adama for being so kind, always saying hello at every dinner and for helping us with our transport away from the lodge. Nothing was too much trouble. We saw lots of birds in the area and were completely relaxed. A true highlight of the trip.
