Staff were friendly. It looked like someone had urinated all over the elevator or spilt coffee during the night and when I brought it to their attention they quickly had it cleaned.

We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier.
We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier. Also there was some good outlet shopping and mall shopping. Since it was only late April, a number of attractions were not open yet. Also, most places were dog friendly and staff came out to say “bring your dog in”. But we would suggest signage indicating dog friendly or not. ( A simple sign on each entrance to malls, for example.). We had our own car, so easy to get around, and no problem to find parking.

Surprisingly there were a lot of very good and high end restaurants. I was not expecting it during April. The 1000 island cruise was ok but not really something that you “must do” or experience. Recommended you take the ferry to Wolf Island (free) just for the ride (stay on and don’t get off at Wolf Island). The walking track along the river was a highlight. The trolly car was also worthwhile. You get to see a lot of the old buildings on the tour. Kingston history is fascinating. You can also go and walk around the University as well.

Kingston carries itself with the poise of a bigger city while remaining relatively small. Lots of Gothic Revival architecture for the art nerds (I include myself on that list) and a friendly atmosphere made Kingston a fun visit. Also some really good bars and restaurants for a town of its size. A worthwhile visit if traveling between Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

There are great walking trails along the waterfront and the downtown area was less than 10 minute walking distance and felt safe in the evening. The shops were varied and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to choose from.

It is a very walkabout city. Waterfront trail is a lovely place to stroll. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the downtown core. Lovely architecture in the old residential section. A few historical sites to visit, although open only seasonally.
Worth a visit

The city of Kingston is so littered with homeless peoples garbage everywhere spray paint on almost every corner and a general public are smoking so much carfentanol and enphetameins and if that isnt enough Kingston possessed no family values from city council on down and the cheif of police is responsible for nothing but a 460 million dollar budget and the university students acue one million in fines annually for their wild parties
Property was clean, near to the Kingston downtown and Wolfe Island Ferry Dock. We booked for 2 Full beds and we got 2 rooms with 1 bed in each room & 1 bathroom shared b/w the rooms. Everything was clean . The best facility was the kitchen with stove near the room. It facilitated us to reheat our food in the oven and ate it by sitting inside it. Other than that Tea was available on the main floor all the time to enjoy.
I really like the property.
Spacious room, extremely comfortable bed and pillow, really nice facilities. The staff was lovely and the other guests were very respectful and quiet. The bar and restaurant are also top notch. The location is amazing and was 15 minutes at most walking distance from the places we wanted to see/go. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kingston!
Waterfront/downtown location was great. Right beside Confederation Park with trolly tours pick up point and tour boat docks. Many restaurants nearby. Included breakfast was better than expected for a cold boxed meal. Office to pick up vouchers for prepaid tours and cruises is located directly across the street from hotel. Highly recommend a waterview room. Staff were all very accommodating.
Although an older Motel, the facilities offered a secure, clean, quiet, and affordable place to rest our head. It is located near Highway 401 (hardly hear the noise) and it is less than 10 minutes away from downtown Kingston. There are a couple of restaurants that are walking distance and you can fuel up next door. It is the convenient for all your needs.
I think this is a perfect hotel in Kingston.
It is very reasonable price.
Relatively spacious and clean room.
Every staffs are very kind.
It looks quiet far from downtown in the map, but It takes only 15 min. by bus.
No need to worry about that if you have a car.
The market is in front of the hotel.
The coin laundry is near the hotel.
Location, view was awesome. The facilities were great. The people, the staff , the waitresses were all very good and professional. Very close to Kingston downtown, lots of great places to roam around, eat, drink and make ancestors proud. The Kingston cruise and trolly is right next door, just book online and board. 2 mins walk
This hotel is rated too low for what it is. Extremely clean and spacious room was newly renovated and it shows. Could not have asked for a better value for this city. Location was central to everything I needed to do while in Kingston and underground parking was a nice addition.
Staff were very helpful. The pet-friendliness of the hotel was very appreciated, as was travelling with my dog.
Room, especially bathroom, looked recently updated. Shower was good.
Tons of parking. Proximity to Queens West campus (about 5 minutes) and close to downtown.
We liked that it was quiet and off the main downtown core area but still walking distance to everything. Everything was easy and as per covid protocol. We loved that it was steps away from the waterfront and that parking was easy.
We would definitely stay here again.
Simple and efficient check in and check out process. The smart TV allowed us to log into our own Netflix account. The majority of the rooms are a waterfront view, being that the hotel is out on a pier. It was central with easy access to the Kingston downtown core.
Very friendly. Didn't feel like a university. 10 mins walk to town centre. Excellent value for money compared to all other hotel options in Kingston. New building too, so everything was clean and working, much better than you expect for a university halls.
Location was good, mostly chain options around for food but downtown Kingston was not far at all. Super clean and welcoming staff. We stayed with our infant and had no problems at all.
Good place, very very friendly staff, very helpful. But, in my opinion the hotels in Kingston are far too expensive. Why pay the same price as for a hotel in a top New York location?
Breakfast servers were genuine and attentive. Better than expected service for a buffet meal. Hotel was in a great location to be able to experience downtown Kingston.
I loved that you were right downtown Kingston and that the price was awesome. The rooms were really clean. The beds were comfy. We had a lake view and that was amazing.
