We liked how clean the rooms were. The on line check in was confusing but we had fun trying to figure it out. I felt like we were trying to get into am escape room. Lol. The area was fun with many adventures and great location by the bar and water.

If you have dreamed of having your own private beach...Vieques is for you! Bring everything you need because there are no facilities on the beaches. Very beautiful, but I think Flamenco beach in Culebra is perfection. My fave is Luquillo Balnearion Monserrate...so convenient.

Most of the remote beaches on the east side are closed due to stray bombs. They do not advertise this fact well.
The social climate on Vieques is somewhat hostile. The vendors are dishonest, trying to rip you off. Lots of rude people, drunks and bums. A fistfight and shouting match broke out on our ferry ride. The locals and strays seem to be annoyed by the masses of tourists. The restaurants are a bit expensive.
Overall it's a huge hassle getting to the island and then finding a car/cart. You're probably better off staying on the big island beaches. That being said, it's a beautiful spot and there's some nice snorkeling spots.

We came to see the BioBay.
We came to see the BioBay. It is quite a chore to get over there, so make it worth your while! We ate at Bananas and talked with a few of the locals. Got to see the wild horses that are all around the island. Enjoyed a sunset walk oceanside.

Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities.
Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities. We visited only four beaches on this trip since we spent only one day on Vieques. However, we loved driving across the island on a golf cart and taking in all the scenes. The horses everywhere give it a magical feel, and everyone is so friendly and laid back. Make sure to have cash as many vendors/food trucks don't take cards. The bio bay is INCREDIBLE and should be on everyone's bucket list!!

If you just want to get away and relax Vieques is the place to go. Not a lot to do here, simply enjoy the beaches and relax.
Easy to travel around island. Love all the horses roaming the island.
Ferry easy and safe and inexpensive. Love the bio bay tour of the bioluminescence at night. Real highlight.
Food on island was delicious.
Excellent, for a country where different languages are spoken, this hotel makes you feel at ease without any strangeness, the hotel is located on the hill, from the secluded path to the hotel reception, you can hear the wind ringing on the way, which makes you feel calm and away from the hustle and bustle, and the staff here are very warm and try to meet your needs, you can see that they like their work very much. If I have another chance to visit here, I will come here again. Thank you finca staff for the wonderful journey!
This property is in a great location, just a short walk to the restaurants in Esperanza, and within reach (long walk) of both Black Sand beach and Sun Bay. If you have car, you're totally set. We also lived the property itself. Our room was perfect for our family of four, with a full kitchen so we didn't have to eat out if we really didn't want to. The new owners, Todd and Amanda, were awesome, and they had pretty much all the beach gear we needed (towels, snorkels, etc.). All in all, it is an excellent place to stay.
The location is perfect. You can walk to the downtown of Esperanza (full of bars and restaurants). Our room, “Gem”, was very nice and clean. The decoration is beautiful and welcoming, feels like home. The owners were GREAT! they gave us amazing recommendations and tips to explore the island. The place also provides beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, bodyboards… it was a really good experience. I would definitely repeat if I visit Vieques again
I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful guest house during my recent vacation to the island, and it was an absolute dream. The guest house itself was charming and cozy, with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay.
The location is great, the accommodations are comfortable and well-appointed, and the owners are some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
The facilities were top notch. The pool is gorgeous, the view in the morning is beautiful and the rooms are all that you'd want and more. The food was some of the best we've had in Puerto Rico, with the Mahi Mahi being the best fish I've tried in ages. The drinks were also great and the staff were extremely attentive. One of my family members had an accident and they helped us with all we needed. Truly great.
it was lovely to stay so close to Esperanza beach and the restaurants. Yashei and Julian are amazing hosts. They offered to take me to the beaches close by at a very reasonable price and they also rented their snorkel gear. Yashei took care of me like family and helped me get to the next destination as well. I’d definitely recommend staying at Yashei’s. :)
The host was very welcoming and passionate about the island and justice for the people. She is motivated to educate guests about the island and offers a tour. It was great that she offers this backyard tent option for an affordable place to stay. It is also very close to Esperanza and the bio bay tours.
The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, happy to share their knowledge of the island and its life. They really go above and beyond their responsibility, not only they welcomed us but also our friends who stayed at another place and visited us.
The breakfast was not the greatest but then the supplies in Vieques is limited. However the owner and the staff are one of the best I have even come across and are very accommodating.
The atmosphere was a perfect place for vacationing.
Location is ok, very near of the center of isabella II. Unfortunately Isabella II is suffering of the economic downturn and you might want to choose the southern part of the island (esperanza) which is a bit more lively for tourist.
Location! close to the Main Street in Esperanza. Also close to a few different tour companies, a golf cart rental, and beautiful beaches. The hosts were so welcoming & helpful. Highly recommend staying here if going to Vieques!
The view, tranquility and the pool. Service was great with all personnel and special thanks to Evelyn Maldonado for her orientation and full service aroun the hotel and Vieques. Also mention Rosa as exelent service.
Fantastic location with tremendous food downstairs and a beautiful ocean view. We loved this side of the island and the hotel is walking distance to all the great food on this side as well as the bio bay tours.
We were absolutely blown away by the clean, spacious, and utterly lovely room! The location was perfect, with easy access to Esperanza's main street and a variety of restaurants within walking distance.
we loved the hospitality and communication. the room was amazing and we were extremely comfortable. more so than a hotel. I won’t stay anywhere else on vieques. private and perfect! stay here!
Oasis in the middle of Vieques Island! Well maintained property and super friendly staff! Yoga and breakfast are bonuses but unfortunately wasn't able to participate given time constraints.
Wonderful time at The Vieques Guesthouse, thanks in large part to the very kind owner who did everything to make our stay enjoyable. I only wish I was able to stay longer than one night.
Very nice and cozy guesthouse at two minutes walk from the Esperanza beach, restaurants and pubs.
The host was very supportive and helpful.
We strongly recommend this guesthouse.
- location : very well located , everything in esperanza by walking/beaches around
- even with the resto/bar close to, we never heard the musique from there
- clean room
