Right in centre of lovely little town so easy to get meals and bits and bobs.

The place was clean, in an excellent location for looking around the town, shopping and the train station. We came by train and used this place as a base for travelling to the Lakes District, taking the train around the Cumbrian Coast as well as going to look around Lancaster. The Cupboard provided a wonderful base to complete these activities, as well as looking around Carlisle itself. A bonus was the fact that, not only did the host leave chocolates and wine when we arrived, there was also milk in the fridge for a cup of tea or coffee and washing powder for use in the washing machine. Not many places are that considerate of their guest's needs.

At the holiday home, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. The location and cabin were incredible. Our hosts went out of their way to help us. We had an incident where the tire of our rental car blew out leaving us without access to a shop and no food in the cabin. They kindly provided us with a lasagne from their freezer which genuinely saved the evening for us.

The house was beautiful, loved the decor and had all the facilities you needed. The hot tub was lovely to use, especially after a long day of exploring. Kept updated by the host by messages and got all the instructions for the stay and top tips for the area. Would definitely stay again.
