The house is comfortably sized for four, kitchen is well-equipped, there are clear instructions where needed. This is a family vacation home rather than just a tourist cottage, and it really felt like something special the owners were sharing with us.

Το Vetursetur είναι μια παραθεριστική κατοικία με βεράντα στο Aðaldalur. Το κατάλυμα απέχει 80χλμ. από το Akureyri και παρέχει δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης. This cabin is not the most modern and chic but it felt so cosy and authentic. The lava formations around it were magical and it made for a great first base for us in Iceland and we stayed 2 nights - we really felt like we'd arrived somewhere really different. We love wildlife and were delighted to find a snipe on the porch on the first evening, loads of golden plover (including chicks), redwing and curlew. It was super cold when we arrived (weather obviously not the fault of the owner!) - about 4 degrees C in July, the wind was really going for it too - the small radiators were on and we quickly found the heater and were very cosy in no time. The bedrooms are very compact as is the bathroom but everything worked and was comfortable. We loved the inclusion of a good bean to cup coffee maker too. The location was excellent for days out in Husavik and Myvatn, we would have been happy to even have stayed a bit longer. It is off the beaten track, but the owner gave us super clear directions and we had no trouble finding it at all.

We’ve been very lucky to have the first room to the left front side and could watch sunset and sunrise straight out of our bed. The guesthouse is surrounded by Iceland-Ponys, for breakfast you get fresh eggs from the owner’s chicken for free and the whole atmosphere is great. Very worth the price. The staff is so friendly - it feels like a family visit in a good way :) Would love to come back!

Το Kaldbaks-kot cottages προσφέρει καταλύματα με δωρεάν WiFi, παιδική χαρά, κήπο και δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης. The cottage was simply amazing, very clean and well equipped. You can park right next to the entrance so it's very easy. The cottages are surrounded by spectacular nature. Next to the cottages there is a lake (and a boat that can be used) And a number of hot tubs where the water is hot sulfur water We were 3 people and stayed in a cottage of 4. There was enough space and very cozy and warm. This was the place we enjoyed the most during our trip to Iceland. We stayed there for 2 nights, which is definitely enough time to enjoy the area and the city of Husavik. Highly recommend
