Quiet but in the middle of restaurants and cafes. Situated in front of the night market, ATMs , Korean food, even a Thai coffee shop . Chato is your best option . Skip the trendy , pricy places, as they are not always the best. Sleep well at Chato .

Athena Hotel provides comfortable rooms and an outdoor pool, a 10-minute walk from the centre of Pakse. It also has free Wi-Fi, which is available throughout the hotel. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff very friendly. I really enjoyed being able to come back each day and have a swim. I ate in the hotel most nights the meals on offer were fine as was the breakfast. It was easy enough to organise airport pick up and tours through the hotel.

Sheets and pillow cases are very soft. It puts me right to sleep :) Wifi was decent for the most part. They serve a hearty breakfast every morning in the common area. The concierge, Mr. Peth is very helpful and speaks English and French
