Rockwater Resort is an absolute diamond find! The attention to detail in everything from the guest interactions, the room, the food and the resort itself. I spent three days in this gorgeous place, not only doing the Tanna Island top sights (Mt Yasur volcano, Blue Cave, traditional village tour and the Giant Banyan tree), but simply spending time around the resort by the pool with a book or snorkelling off the front cliffs. Silvana and John are absolutely beautiful hosts with their care and attention for the experience of your own and other guests with the island and Vanuatu as a whole.

Offering a restaurant, a bar and sea views, Alofa Beach Bungalows is located in Lénakel, 100 metres from the beach. All bungalows feature a balcony. Free on-site parking is provided. Really great place to stay on Tanna, our host John was one of the friendliest persons I’ve ever met. He really welcomed us with open arms and organised everything we wanted to do on the island for us. He showed us the real original Vanuatu 10/10

There are heaps of activities or tours they offer or you can also go on a walk for yourself to the ashplanes. There is also a cold river to swim in at a 7min. walk. Fantastic views from the treehouse or bungalows to the volcano. The treehouse is basic, but with a seperate flush toilet, a wonderful balcony with fantastic view to the volcano and three beds inside, a queen size double and a single. Both were installed with a mosquito net. Light is provided the whole day by solar energy. The shower is located within the tree under the treehouse, in the "first floor", an outdoor experience.
