Riad Mellah is a warm and friendly accommodation with a wonderful staff. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Best sleep our whole trip! The host helped us find transportation to our next destination and even walked us to the bus station. We so enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful modern yet traditional place with excellent service from reservation all the way throughout the stay to check-out. Staff are amazing without exception. Excellent breakfast, with various hot food options to choose from, served on the roof top with distant sea-view. Fireplace in the room lit on cold evenings. Comfortable beds, smart and chic room layout, hot shower with good water pressure. For people sharing a room: the bathroom door may not block sight nor sound. WiFi available throughout the property. Pets allowed (check ahead for surcharge); you may be lucky to meet the cute resident dog and cat. The Riad is on a narrow alley inside the pedestrian-only old town (Medina) and you can thus hear what is going on around you in the hotel and in the streets. Call ahead for assistance with parking just outside the Medina walls.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, starting with a very warm welcome from Morgan to the lovely breakfast on the terrace! The location is perfect for exploring Essaouira.

Nestled away in the busy Medina you can find this tranquil and historical gem. We slept wonderfully, and enjoyed a first class breakfast on the roof top terrace. The bread and pastry were fantastic, and good coffee was served with hot milk. Julien, host and chef by profession, understands how a great meal can make a stay even more enjoyable. That is were Fátima comes into the picture. She is an efficient and caring manager. However, her best gift is her cooking. We would go back just for her exceptional cooking. The best traditional meals we had in Morocco came from Fátima’s kitchen. We were so glad that we did not venture out to any other restaurant in the Medina. Do not miss out on Fatima’s culinary offers. You will sleep completely satisfied afterwards.

The hosts make the stay memorable. Hassan spent considerable time labelling a map of the town with everything we needed to know. Breakfast was excellent and we had a lovely conversation with Hassan and Eman during breakfast. The room had everything we needed.
