Our room had a garden view with a little balcony, where we could hear the church bells and birds chirping. The bed was very comfortable and the overall room size was spacious enough even with our luggage. The old style room key was very cool! Breakfast was delicious with warm breads, fresh fruit, cheeses, jams and more. Luk and Miro also offered made to order eggs. The presentation is beautiful. The location is excellent - a short walk to the Grote Markt straight down the street, 10min walk to Nekkerspoel train station, and bus stops just out front serving multiple routes. Mechelen itself is very walkable and pretty!

All business transactions are in reality built on trust, and such small gestures make You feel extra welcome. Great location - I was at a conference centre 5 min walk away.

Excellent place and excellent host. She is very accommodating! Tried two different rooms and one with an incredibly comfy bed with blackout mechanical shutters. The Wellness room is one to try as well! We only tried that room out for one night and would have loved to stay longer.

Kurt was a fantastic host, very friendly, open and helpful. I really liked the room - size, organic bathroom accessories and the shower :) Bed was very comfortable and had a nice sleep. Got personalised breakfast with juice, bread, jam from local sources and scrambled eggs from Porta' own chickens.

The home is modern and comfortable, and in a very central location. The coffee was better than in most holiday rentals! Just a warning that the uppermost bedroom is up a very steep stairway.
