You get to stay with Meyske’s family and feel at home in an authentic „treehouse“-style room. The room is simple, but made with love for the details. Meyske is a caring and passionate host! The breakfast and the dinner (70T rupiah/person) was amazing and the best we had on our 6 month trip so far. Meyske organized a 2-day guided tour for us with her friend, Natalia. The tour was our highlight! Natalia was the best guide we could have asked for. She took us off the beaten track and we did not meet a lot of other tourists. She grew up in Toraja and knows a lot about their culture. She was like a friend for us, caring, funny and interested in us. She did everything to feel us comfortable around the sometimes (for us) unusual traditions in Toraja.

We had a wonderful stay at Mama Tia Familiy Homestay. From the first moment on we felt like home. Delicious breakfast and very comfortable room! We did a funeral ceremony with Yansen, who also showed us some traditional Torajan places which was fantastic. We also rented a scooter with him. His wife cooks great food and the views from the terrace are very peaceful. We recommend 100% staying here and would love to come back someday!

Amazing place to stay! The owner Ibra is the most welcoming, helpful and friendly host we met. The homestay is very clean, rooms are spacious and breakfast is delicious. We would recommend this to anyone staying in Tana Toraja.

The guest house was a wonderful gem in the middle of Rantepao, conveniently located near all the Tana Toraja points of interest. I had a traditional Torajan home all to myself and it felt so special. The place was extremely clean, had all I needed. It is part of a typical Torajan family's compound. Aldi, the host went out of his way to help and assist me with everything. He even waited for us until late at night (and I felt horrible about it, because it was like 1.30 AM when I arrived), as I was driving from Makasar and arrived later than expected. He organized a 2 day tour with Mr. Ino (also recommended), who showed me around the main sights at VERY reasonable cost. The place was spotless, comfortable, and felt like I was in a documentary. Absolutely recommended. As for Tana Toraja.... it is a unique corner of our world. Make sure you spend at least 2 days there to see everything. Ask for Ino's services.

loved everything about this place - it is not fancy, but it is very clean and the Hostess is fantastic. we arrived late and she made dinner for us when we got there. The traditional meal she cooked the next day was also great, chicken in bamboo. There is a full bathroom outside the house with a hot water shower, western toilet and two sinks - very clean. The traditional house would not be able to accommodate a bathroom in the building itself. This is an experience to stay in real Toraja house - it is not a fancy hotel - but it is great!!

Breakfast was very good expecially the coconut pancakes. The house is 10 minutes by walk from the main road, surrounded by a beautiful rice field.
