The only downside is that there’s not many selection of nearby resto , it’s about 15-20 mins tricycle ride to San Juan area where the lively resto are located

Swaki-Han was and it is definitely the best place we could ever choose, a part of our heart stays in this guesthouse and we could not be more grateful for their hospitality. We felt like a part of their family even after we left to an other part of the island, we visited almost every day to enjoy their amazing food, company and over all amazing team ❤️ The place offers really comfortable and spacious rooms, it has his own private beach, and beautiful sunset views. The pasta, pancakes and desserts from Miss Mamma are finger-licking delicious, never tried such a good mango float in my life. I could continue all day saying amazing things about this place but the most important thing is that I would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Miss Mama, Bebe, little Sofia and all the staff for their amazing vibe and hospitality. We wish to be back soon again! ❤️❤️

Complete peace up in the mountains. Rooms are quite large (larger than expected) with a cute hammock overlooking the hill. You can open the wall up right at the bed for a gorgeous view of the hills and stars. As soon as you enter the property, you feel like walking into heaven. Best pure drinking cacao they make on site! The owners are very friendly and open to showing you around to their edible plants etc on the land. Other guests were also doing personal tours around the island. The road getting there is attrocious, but you can park at the entrancce and walk the .5km in if you don't want to motorbike it (a beautiful walk!). No wifi, which is what we wanted for our stay.

This is an incredibly well run guest house. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have everything you’ll need. We stayed at Chekesh Casa for five days. It was a wonderful base to return home to at the end of the day. We ate at the restaurant several times, and also rented motorbikes through them. They literally can take care of all of your needs! An excellent value for sure.

From the staff who are so sweet and kind and attentive to the cabins that are super comfortable, the pool amazing and the beach is heaven. The breakfast was pretty good, simple but good. We also have a lot of lunches and dinners at the resort because the food was amazing. You can have lunch and dinner on the beach it is so lovely. And if you are a dog lover, there's a few super sweet dogs from the resort, Friend and Cocco made our stay! The most magical sunsets from the beach at the resort.

Breakfast is good and delivered to your room. We stayed in the villa. It was huge, with both outdoor and indoor lounge areas, its own palm tree garden, even a basketball hoop and some outdoor gym equipment. The location is very quiet compared to other places on the island, which allowed us to sleep well. It is a bit difficult to find, and you will want to rent a scooter if you’re staying here, because you won’t be near restaurants, bars, etc. That’s why it’s so peaceful here.

I loved listening to the huge adjacent bamboo thicket creaking in the wind. Close to the sea and Tubod village with its beach.
