We really enjoyed the traditional tea ceremony where a tea expert prepared 3 types of locally grown tea. It was such a calming and peaceful experience, set next to the tranquil tea farm, and made for a great start to the day. The breakfast was excellent, super delicious and nutritious. I loved waking up to the beautiful tea farm just outside the window. We felt well taken care of by the tea farm owner.

Staying here is a very excellent decision if you want to be well located to visit Alisan Park, the tea fields, Fen Chi Hu village, and all the surroundings. We traveled by bus from Chiayi and got off at the bus stop (which is only a 15-minute walk from the accommodation. You can also coordinate with the family so that they can wait for you to take you home). It is important to note that the accommodation is in the tea field that the family has worked for generations, so it is very good if you want to learn how to make "Oolong tea". In fact, upon arrival, Sian-HuaDeng (the owner's daughter, who studied "nutrition" and who also speaks English very well) greeted us with "Oolong Tea" and pointed out the differences with other types of tea (which we also tried ), so we learned a lot and we felt really comfortable and happy with his company. From the place, there are also several trails to take beautiful pictures and also, it has views of the mountain that are beautiful since they have a viewpoint next to it where you can see the "sea of clouds". For us it was an excellent experience, and we hope to return to reunite with Sian-HuaDeng and her family in this beautiful place in Taiwan that kept a little piece of our hearts.

This stay was highlight of my travel to Taiwan. Accommodation high above the village, near tea plantation with a lot of choice for walking tour. Host was very kind, prepare tea tasting for me, good breakfast included. He even let me see a tea harvesting. Equipment of room was a little bit simple, but I did not expect tree stars hotel.

I was even picked up by the host when i arrived. A very nice and big dinner can be booked, a very tasty breakfast is included. I loved my room and bathroom, everything seemed very clean and new. In the morning i participated in a (free) tea ceremony which was interesting and very good. You can also find many other places in the area doing something similar, but it really felt like a meditative ceremony and i loved the tea.

Air was fresh and we could take lots of walks right from the hotel. Sea of clouds appeared on the mornings we stayed. Owner was very obliging to fetch us from the bus stop/village centre for meals and travel. But we enjoyed the pretty walk through the village from centre back to hotel when we did not have luggage, despite the steep uphill climb.

Supplies are basic and dated and the room not so big but still very clean with a charming view on Fenqihu valley. Staff is very kind and provides maps and very helpful tips on how to explore the surroundings. The hotel is right below train station at walking distance to all Fenqihu attractions.
