Everything, Ahmed and his brother really took care of us, the property is amazing and exceeds our expectations after we had a bad experience in Cairo, when almost everyone tried to scam you, but Luxor is different and our stay at Villa Rebecca almost like a healing.

It was as if I had entered an expensive five-star retreat. The staff, treating me like family, elevated the experience. Special kudos to Umran, the driver, whose assistance extended beyond the reasonable tours, going above and beyond in every aspect of my stay—from navigating streets to purchasing train tickets, easing the language barrier. Nasser, the manager, consistently checked in to ensure my satisfaction. Another staff member even went out of their way to take me to a nearby pizza shop at night when I expressed hunger. This hotel offered not just accommodation but a truly exceptional and caring experience.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing. All made with home-grown vegetables and fruits. Mohammed was a very nice, hospitable man who gave us lots of tips and offers. Also a shout-out to Karim, a very nice young man who took us for a hike along their fields.

In November/December we stayed three weeks in the beautiful Blue Nile House in a great apartment: spacious, clean, with three balconies and great views over grasslands, corn and rice fields, and the river Nile. Our host, Sayed, and his team are very kind and most helpful. The daily breakfast under the beach umbrella near the swimming pool was something to look forward to every morning. For dinner there was a varied menu of delicious Egyptian meals to choose from. The somewhat remote location of the hotel (distance to the ferry is 2,8 km) guarantees a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. There are several possibilities to visit the ancient Egyptians monuments. Sayed can arrange for taxis and excursions by car, and there are lots of tuktuks on the road. We hired two bikes for three weeks at Mohammed Satohe’s ‘Bicycles for hire’ in the village to visit the Valley of the Kings, the temples and tombs on the West Bank, following good Dutch tradition. We highly recommend Blue Nile House, for it is the perfect place to stay on the West Bank of Luxor. Thank you Sayed, Abdellah, Ahmed, and Karim for these wonderful three weeks! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and big. It has good water pressure and hot water. The property was pretty. It was a short walk from the ferry. It was a good value.

I had booked 5 nights but it was close to perfect so I stayed longer and probably should have stayed a month, it was that good. I can’t say enough good things about it. The owner offers top notch customer service and can be depended on for good, honest advice.
