A recently renovated homestay situated in Lanquín, Casa " MARY " features a garden. Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The host family are fantastic. Super friendly and welcoming. Davide the son runs fantastic tours of the caves and Semuc Champey. The bedrooms and shared bathrooms were nice and clean. No kitchen but there is an onsite restaurant serving reasonably priced tasty food (good portions). Great value for money.

Wonderful little oasis in the jungle just outside Coban. If you plan to visit Orchigonia and/or if you prefer a quiet place near Coban, it’s perfect! Beds are pretty hard but Otto and family were lovely, the food was good and it was a perfect first stop for us after an overnight flight. Just ask the bus to drop you at Orchigonia turnoff.

Set in Cobán in the Alta Verapaz region, AZURA HOTEL BOUTIQUE has a garden. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The staff were all helpful and nice. The dorm is just a set of bunk beds so I had a private room for the night. Warm shower. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel/hostel ever. There is a kitchen guests can use but they charge Q20 to use it. They helped me with the bus to Lanquín and transport from Lanquín to Antigua, but it would have been Q25 cheaper to book the transport to Antigua in Lanquín. And if you book a shuttle in Lanquín they pick you up and you don't have to go to the bus stop yourself.

Offering a natural pool, shuttle service and a restaurant, Greengos Hotel is located in Semuc Champey Lanquin, 486 meters from the Park entrance. At Greengos Hotel you will find a garden and a bar. Amazing hostel/hotel. Staff and people are very nice and helpful with anything you want to do here. You can walk to the national park and the hostel itself organizes a cave tour which I would recommend both! Take at least to nights here and you’ll find the perfect oasis. I do not really understand other comments mentioning expensive food/drinks. Maybe its because they charge you all at the end and people loose track
