This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast. The hosts were amazing. This was my first guesthouse experience and it exceeded my expectations. We got there and it was already dark. We noticed that the northern lights could be out and the hosts did whatever they could to help us see them. It was great! We were the only 2 people booked for the night but when we woke up there was this massive and delicious breakfast. I was astounded by all the different kinds of food they offered. I would stay here all nights if we weren’t going to drive around Iceland.

The fire kept us very warm all night long. It was pre-made by the owner which was very convenient. We brought food for the fridge to cook which was simple and easy. We will be back for more northern lights when we plan for better weather.

Set in Selfoss, 48 km from Thingvellir National Park, Nyibaer studio apartment offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. amazing room decor..updated..had long mirror which my wife loved for her makeup.loved the kitchen. had a washer and dryer...the bathroom was well upgraded bathroom beautiful..comfortable lounging couch with foot chair...TV updated with Netflix and Disney etc..the bed was huge and super comfortable..has fridge and stove..only place in iceland we stayed with 2 firm and big pillows.. the best part was the location..we saw Northern lights on our last stay!!!!!!!!

Located in Hveragerði in the South Iceland region, Sigga’s home features a balcony. Sigga is a very friendly icelandic lady, who offers a lovely bedroom and big bathroom in her roomy house/home. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and typically icelandic. Also she kindly offers to use her kitchen and washing machine. We enjoyed talking to her about the region and she gave us great advice about places to visit. We are looking forward to visiting again!
