Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. The man running the guesthouse communicated well in advance and sent us a payment link early so we didn’t need to think about it on holiday. When we arrived he was welcoming, friendly, had cooked us fresh bread and banana cake. They had fast internet, a kitchen stocked for breakfast, and he told us where all the best places in the area were. Fantastic place to stay!

Overlooking Lake Mývatn, this camping site offers cottages with wooden floors, a private bathroom and a terrace. Stayed at the end of February. Check in was easy, the host was easily contacted and met us within 5 minutes. The cabin was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Our stay was enjoyable with a fantastic view. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of options delivered to our cottage by the host who went out of her way to make our stay memorable. I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks for a great experience.

Such a lovely cosy apartment with windows all round and overlooking Lake Myvatn. It was the perfect place to relax and hope to see the Northern Lights from the big balcony outside. The place was thoughtfully designed as open plan with nice touches such as candles and rugs. The underfloor heating was very efficient and plenty of kitchenware plus oven, stovetop, microwave, washing machine etc. We had looked at slightly cheaper options nearby but I think it was worth paying a little extra for this one. Would highly recommend!

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. The staff is very helpful since we came later than 8:00 pm but we got all information/help we need. The room is clean and quiet. The location is good that is close to the lake Myvatn and also the camp-site where my friend stayed. Good value.

Situated by Lake Mývatn, this guest house offers basic rooms with shared facilities. The Mývatn Nature Baths is a 10-minute drive away. very very clean for a hostel. i wasnt expecting much but it was SUPER CLEAN!! highly recommend!! kitchen was fully equipped and even the shared toilet is very clean. the room we got has a basin too!
