It was truly a pleasure to stay in this 110 year old traditional Japanese house. There were no other guests at the time and we had the whole house to ourselves. The house is tastefully furnished and there is even a new trail bicycle available for guests. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. He offered to make reservations for us at a local restaurant and even drove us (at a time that best suited us) to the trailhead for our hike at Magome.

Clean and tidy guest house with comfortable rooms. Bathrooms are shared but fine as not a lot of guests staying at once. Dinner and breakfast were superb and Keiko was the loveliest host. Would recommend to all.

Hosts are friendly, warm, accomodating and attentive. Very clean and homely. Lively pets around, which was a welcomed change :) A 30 min walk from Gifu JR, hosts happily dropped us to the station at checkout. I believe you can organise pick up and drop off with the host. Regardless, a 30 min walk on flat ground is completely possible and should not deter anyone. However there is a local line which is 13 min walk from the house.

Built in 2018, Itomori is located a 7-minute walk form JR Takayama Station. The old town of Takayama is 6 minutes on foot, while Takayama Jinya is a 10-minute stroll. A quaint and elegant traditional Japanese house with all required facilities. Location: 5 min walk to nearest station. Decor: very nice Washer and Drier available. Kitchen and utensils available. Cleanliness : sparkling clean. Free parking: available
