Beautiful family estate tacked away in a small village. The place is so nice and quiet, perfect place to spend the last couple of days of our holiday. The small swimming pool was a nice surprise. In the evening We sat by the pool to enjoy their wines. The hospitality of the owners were exceptional. The kind of place you want to come back.

Boasting garden views, Prenočišča Iris offers accommodation with balcony, around 20 km from The Škocjan Caves. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Everything ok,nice quiet location

Boasting accommodation with a terrace, Apartma Furlan is situated in Štanjel. The property is around 26 km from Piazza Unità d'Italia, 26 km from Trieste Port and 27 km from San Giusto Castle. The apartment was clean and quiet. We slept so well. I used WhatsApp to communicate with the host and they were welcoming and kind. The free parking and ability to view the beautiful city from the terrace and then walk up in 10min was perfect!

Set within 8.5 km of The Škocjan Caves and 15 km of San Giusto Castle, Casa Krasna Gourmet Boutique Hotel offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Lokev. This really is a boutique hotel and is located in the quiet village of Lokev, but close to Trieste and to the Škocjan Caves, which was our primary destination. Lokev is small and quiet, but close to Divača where there is a train station and other services. The owners, Dajana and Boris, are two of the most delightful hosts we have ever met. And the chef prepares gourmet dinners that are a true highlight. The facility was well designed and spotless. The beds were really great and the bath was superb.

Located in Divača and only 4 km from The Škocjan Caves, Homestead Vrbin provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. There was breakfast there in the morning. It was very good. Typical Slovenian breakfast. There was also a restaurant there in the evening so if you didn't want to go out you could eat there.

Offering a terrace, Apartmaji in sobe Marija Jera Štanjel is set in the medieval village of Štanjel. Vipava is 16 km away. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. We had a brilliant family holiday, with a lovely, kind host , in a beautiful village. Our room was comfortable, we did not have any problems with the shared bathroom. The kitchen is spacious, very well equipped. There is enough room to sit down to have breakfast even if there are other guests. Marija and her husband are very helpful and informative.Here I also would like to wish them good health and enough power to run this guesthouse for a long time. The village is simply magnificient. It was great to walk around in the mornings, its narrow streets and the great garden gives it a nice atmosphere. It is really hard to leave this calm and beautiful village behind, however, it is the best possible starting point to visit all the places of interests in a 50-60 kms of circle, all around Italy and Slovenia. We could spend there two weeks at least without being bored. So...definitely we will go back and can recommend the place to anybody.

Featuring a sauna and a garden with an outdoor pool, Guesthouse Pri Mihelovih enjoys a quiet rural location a 10-minute drive from the Škocjan Caves and 13 minutes by car from the Lipica Stud. Highly recommend. Located in a pastoral location, surrounded by greenery. Close to the two stalactite caves. The room is comfortable and very clean. Excellent breakfast. There is a well-kept garden where you can sit with a glass of wine at the end of the day. The hosts are charming and go out of their way to make you feel good. One of the best places we stayed.
